Here now.....a few observations

I will say that the restrooms seemed to not to be as consistently clean. Most were ok. But, there was one that looked like a pack of wild animals ran through. Speaking of which, most guests even were nice and friendly. But, there did seem to be an abundance of people who must have thought their legs would fall off if they walked 10 feet to the trashcan. I hate that because Disney is so beautiful, I try to be careful to not even accidentally drop things. People were just throwing cups down.:sad2:

I noticed that last week, too. Especially at night in the MK and EPCOT.

This is by NO means a complaint thread, we are having a great time. Just a few things all 12 of us have noticed collectively...

The soap in the bathrooms make your hands smell like vomit. :(

No issues with any ecv people. All very polite. A few stroller issues, nothing too major and my ankles will heal.

The BTGs are out of control.

We are staying at akl and blt. we have seen a ton of the cheerleader groups in the parks and have not encountered an issue.

We do a lot of ts. For the most part, the service has been mediocre at best. So disappointing. Narcoossees was wonderful as always.

Wow, I would think that we are at two different places from the descriptions and what I have observed.

The soap in the restrooms does not smell anywhere near offensive to me.

Have only seen one BTG and it was by the castle after wishes and was a little loud. That was the *only* one we've seen, and today is our 10th day here.

Have eaten at several restaurants, and all the service and food we had was great and the servers friendly and *with it*.

Oh well, to each their own perspective. We're havig a great time! :goodvibes

Huh? The grandmother requested that the server sing Happy Birthday. Whatever word you use for the way she made that request, it's still an odd thing to do and is not done. None of us know whether the grandma asked in the nicest way possible or was being demanding, so lets not get into something that is unknowable.

I think we can all agree that in no restaurant where you are all sitting around the table do you ask, request, tell, order, or demand your server to sing someone Happy Birthday. Yes, there are places where they sing to you and you request it, but the distinction here is you do not ask an individual to sing for you.

Hmm. I think you are broken Senator.

It's out of line when someone chimes in on stuff they know nothing about and try and put someone else down!

THIS.

Thanks for your post. :)

It's out of line for your grandmother to order a server to sing to you. In what restaurant anywhere would you do that? It's just not appropriate.

That being said, a skilled server should be able to decline the request in a fun and pleasant manner.

She clearly said her grandmother ASKED. How is that in any way ORDERING someone to do something?

I don't think it's unusual at all to ask the server to sing happy birthday. I don't think the grandmother wanted that one individual person to start singing happy birthday to her, but rather go get a group a servers to sing happy birthday. That's my GUESS. But I definitely don't think the grandma was out of line!

Its funny, we were there last week and my DD kept saying, "my hands smell like spit up, thats yucky" (I have a baby nephew, so she is used to spit up LOL). I didn't smell her hands until she had said it several times, and then I had to agree. She thought she had vomit on her jacket somewhere and was touching it (she did get sick one night, but it wasn't germ related). I guess it was the soap. Go figure.

We didn't have big groups or rude ECV people at all. I didn't go to most of OPs restaurants, but we had a great dinner and great service at Akershus. We enjoyed all of our TS meals: Ohana, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, HDDR, Coral Reef, and Akershus.

We recently returned from our first ever visit and it was wonderful. But I can agree with some comments here, after the Indiana Jones show we were all in line to exit and this woman in an ECV decided she didn't want to wait. She kept edging it out further and further, and at this point the place was packed with people standing to get out. She floored it - no exaggeration - and ran into at least half a dozen people including children, then made a big fuss about how she was sorry, didn't know how it happened etc etc Meanwhile the poor kids are sitting crying on the wall clutching their leg. All because she couldn't wait 5 minutes.

I have nothing to compare it to, however I overheard a conversation between guests in line for the Carousel who were complaining about how the MK staff seemed very rude and disgruntled compared to previous visits. We ourselves didn't have a problem although there were just a couple that were not overly friendly.

Fantastic place, can't wait to go back.

Haha! Let me guess - this stands for Brazilian Tour Group? :lmao:

Yep. It amazes me how they load every single ride chanting and singing their anthem and being obnoxious...americans would not visit another country and do the same thing.

Such a rude and incorrect response. That is not what was said at all. I wish that the ignore list worked on cell phones, too.

It does, on my app. :)

But instead of seeing "this poster is on your ignore list" like you do on a PC, it's like their post doesn't even exist. You never see the "ignored" poster even posted.

This is a rude response. Passive aggressivity is weak. The person already came back and clarified that their grandmother did not ask the individual server to sing her happy birthday, so I'm not sure why people are continuing to speculate on it.

It would be without question rude and out of line to request an individual server to stand there and sing you happy birthday. I don't think there's any question about that. Some of you aren't grasping what I'm saying. And it's not what happened here anyway. The person originally said their grandma asked the server to sing her happy birthday. Those were the exact words. They have now clarified it that she did not ask the server to sing, but rather the group, as was happening with other tables, which is perfectly normal.

I assume that the server was British? I can already hear a British person saying something like that and meaning to be humorous. I wasn't there though so I can't fairly speculate. I do like the Rose & Crown though and will only add that we've always had friendly service there.

Yes, she said her grandma asked, not ordered as you presented it, which was twisting the whole story. And there is nothing wrong with request to sing "Happy Bday". Restaurants however decide to make individual server or the whole group to sing.

I disagree. It depends on where you are. If it is a restaurant where you know servers sing, then it's OK. But it is impolite to request (whether it's "ask" or "order") that your server sing you a song if that's not part of his or her job responsibility.

That is why you ask, you making request, they tell you if they do it or not. Nothing wrong with asking, if you don't ask, you don't know, esp. if you are not familiar with the place.

We were there the same week and walked on every ride just about, had great service, lots of magic, and weather was perfect! We didn't see a is FLE BTG and the pOPs we saw were in groups of 5-7 and all very well behaved...we stayed at POR...
