I thought spring breaks were over?? It’s way more crowded than I was expecting and lots of kids. Guess it’s true there really isn’t going to be a slow time, at least not this year.

I think it will be that way for a while,, now that there is a mass exodus from disney to Universal. The number of people who say they are switching is astronomical, and I'm one of them,:) But disney did it to themselves, so hurray for Universal!

Hargrids has been running at 75 minutes all day … that’s pretty darn good!
Yesterday was disappointing the secrets out to jump in line at park close. We tried at five of nine and the wait was at least an hour judging by how long the line was. It does seem to drop at certain times like during dinner. Velocicoaster is my new favorite, we rode 4 times yesterday !

We noticed WAY more kids - even really little toddlers & babies & LOTS more strollers - on our vacations in May 2021 and Dec 2021 & certainly more crowded than usual.

Unfortunately, the mass exodus from Disney to Universal is definitely taking it's toll in all kinds of ways on the peaceful relaxing respite it once was for us. We did not renew our APs this past February for the first time since we moved here 7 years ago .

We upgraded to AP last year and most likely won’t renew. We are not local and with the added cost of airfare getting so ridiculous probably won’t budget another trip. The increase in crowds with each trip in addition to hotel discounts not being as good will likely keep us away til Epic opens.

Yeah, the loss of really good AP deals on the hotels was one of our prime drivers to not renew, too - it's really too bad - we loved our economical chillaxing UO vacations - it was great while it lasted :)!

I agree that with Disney's management of the parks not really being the best that a lot of people are deciding to check Universal out. I also notice A LOT of Universal ads lately. On TV, before Youtube videos and on news sites. They're really trying to get people to come and I guess they're all coming. I'm even doing 1 day in May despite my last trip being 8 years ago - I really wanted to check out Hagrid's and Velocicoaster.

Surprised to hear that a lot of people are bringing toddlers and babies. Universal being less of a stroller city compared to Magic Kingdom was something I really loved lol

Yeah. The parks been busy for awhile. I think a lot of people have gone stir crazy and are willing to go to a theme park. I was there last memorial day weekend and it was insanely busy.

The best thing about this trip has been the weather at least we have escaped the still chilly temps back home 😃
