Hot off the digital presses! Here is yesterday's golf cart parade at the Fort - it looks like a beautiful day. Camping DISsers who were in the parade: how was it?

No one was "watching" the parade because the entire campground was IN the parade! Great video!

It gives me hope that I can still go in October for Halloween and participate in their GC parade (which is very elaborate). I'd probably have the weakest decoration there but I want to try it once just to do it. To say that I'd done it and check that box. I doubt I'd ever go again in October to the Fort (I'm aiming more for the slow off-season times like late January now) but since there are all kinds of decorated carts I hope to be one-of-the-bunch:

I'm with you on moving towards January. I'd LOVE to do Halloween day at the Fort but the pricing is getting too rich for my budget in any of the holidays now.

So...I booked end of Jan/beginning of Feb next year a couple of days ago. Get me some winter sunshine!
