Here is my quote from AAA - any suggestions?

I see what the OP is saying about the dining, it does seem like a lot..........but, how much did you count on spending per day for your meals? We are a family of 5 and always count on $200.00 per day for food, which includes one Table service meal, having the DDP would save us money, and we don't feel the need to scrimp on anything. Everyone can have pretty much exactly what they want! :) :)

I am editing to add:

Sorry, I didn't see your other response, so it looks like you will be doing the DDP. The other point I wanted to make was:
We have stayed in the Cabins (which we loved), and at POR (which we loved), I would save the money and go to POR, although we really liked both places. In POR you also have a small fridge in your room, so you can bring breakfast stuff and be able to put your mild and snacks into the fridge. You would have two bathrooms also, which works out nicely.

Have a great trip!

When I was talking about the POR apparently the $3200 or whatever was for one room and we would need two rooms. So clearly I was misunderstanding.

We are staying in the cabins for 10 days. Are we going to be dealing with some serious bugs?

roaches and ants?

We've stayed in the cabins several times and never had bug problems. Never saw anything but lizards. The kids loved them.
The cabins are a great choice. As for the DDP, we've never been able to do it because we are annual passholders and they don't offer it to us. But IMO, staying int he cabins helps the food budget for us. We bring snacks and breakfast stuff. They add up quickly.
Also at Trails End at the Settlement has carry out. Once our youngest was sick with the flu, I got thier chicken dinner to go. It was great.
Then housekeeping found out we were trapped in the cabin for a day so she brought back some videos for him to watch and some balloons.
Thanks again Sue from housekeeping, you're the best.

You have to be informed when you go. I kept pricing trips online through Disney then went to AAA. I said if you beat this price I will join. I did save with AAA. I am very bid on the Moderate price range hotels. I think they are big enough rooms and the pools are all very nice.

We always get the meal plan. I think all of the wonderful sit down meals are just part of the entire majic of the trip. The three times we have went we have saved about half of the cost of food with the meal plan

I would never go and stay off property or not have the meal plan.
