Here is my issue

I just booked Dec 18-23 at Pop and got FREE QS dining. I am/was happy with that because I really don't want to be tied to a dining reservation everyday, wouldn't have to pay tips etc.

Then I realized that there are Dining Pkgs for reserved seating for the Candlelight Processional. To upgrade to regular dining plan during that time is $15 a day. So for 2 that would add $150. Meals and tips would run at least $80 or more for dining package if I paid oop. and the same if I paid oop for the Fantasmic Dining Pkg.

So that would come to around $160 or a little more oop for the 2 meals for 2!

If I add the dining plan that would be $150 plus I would have to pay tips oop- so that would come to more than the $160 for the 2 meals. I would loose 1 snack a day and the refillable mug.

This is confusing me! I am thinking it would be better to just pay out of pocket for the Dining packages and keep what I have...am I thinking clearly on this?

If all you really want is a Fantasmic and a CP dining package, you could always pay for that and keep the QS dining. There isn't any need for you to have the extra TS credits if you don't want them. You've figured the cost to you will be about the same no matter what you do - so it's just up to whether or not you want those extra TS credits. There's also the matter of the extra snack and the mug - you do lose those by upgrading to basic.

thanks, That was what I was thinking. Even if I just do the 2 meals and pay oop I would still come out better. Than loosing the mugs and the snack and then having to pay tips.
