Here at the DLR and a few surprises (kinda long)

I just got back from the weekend. The ride situation was worse than any day I was there over the summer. It did not seam as crowded walking around the park, but the ride lines were all worse. I am sure part of it was Indy being down the whole weekend, but I am pretty sure there were a lot more people there in the heart of July for instance, but I guess that the also have more CM's to deal with the people as well.

I thought the decorations were pretty good at DL, was actually expecting more, but did enjoy what was there. I also really enjoyed the overlay on the HM, but it was certainly either get there early or get a fastpass, which they had open.

Honestly I would not discount that as a possibility. We happened to hit the parks during UEA one year (apparently the same type of thing for the entire state of Utah, except they had both Thursday & Friday off)
The parks were sooo crowded and almost everyone we talked to was from Utah.
I swear the whole state must have packed up and headed to California for the long weekend.

btw, I just checked and UEA is scheduled for a Monday and Tuesday this year (Oct 29 & 30) Maybe it won't have as much of an impact since it's so close to Halloween.

This is incorrect. I live in Utah and my kids had last Thursday and Friday off for UEA (Oct. 11th and 12th). So, I'm hoping that the 29th and 30th won't be as bad. That's when I'll be in Disneyland!!

Hey! We moved here last year from Spanish Fork. I checked the UEA website to plan our Disneyland dates and UEA is Oct 29-30th this year but many Utah school districts opted out of UEA this year and instead had a fall break. I know Provo, Alpine, and Nebo school districts all did that. Some of my family in Utah were at DL last week during that time. We're going to be in DL resort Oct 24-27 and I'm sure hoping the crowds die down some by then! It was the best week I could come up with in October with all the school breaks this month. I can't wait to hear what this week shapes up to be like.

yes, please, if anyone is heading down to DL before me (the 20th), check in and let us know a crowd report!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be arriving Thursday night, the 18th. Our first full day will be Friday the 19th. I will have my laptop with me and will try to remember to post about the crowds on Friday!

my husband and daughter spent their last day at DL today, my husband said the crowds were half from last week. walk on or 5 min wait for all rides. including Indy!!! i was like....indy is back up??? i was so bummed. i used my last day on saturday, indy was still down.
