Here at CSR now and it is...

Hey Buzz thanks for the update. Sounds like a terrific time to be at WDW :earsboy:

Thanks for the update Buzz. We leave this Saturday and cannot wait. This is our first time at CSR. :cool1: :cool1:
The resort sounds awesome! Love your website.
Have a wonderful trip! :flower:

Thanks for taking the time to share a little of the Magic with us! :wizard:

You mentioned that you had take-out to eat by the pool - can you also get take-out and go back to your room? I'm a little confused about how the Pepper Market works. I'm trying to convince the family to consider CSR and I think I'm slowly reeling them in, but I couldn't explain how the Pepper Market works when we looked at photos.

Aloha!

Thanks for the report. :worship:

I have a booking there for 8 nights in December. :cool1:

What buliding are you in, and how's the walk to Pepper Market, and the pool? :scratchin

Are you paying $10 per day for the internet?

Looking forward to a report on the buffet.

Thanks in advance.

Buzz,
Glad you are having a good time. We are thinking about going back to CSR for Thanksgiving. Wait until my DH hears about the lunch buffet!

MsSpin Shady,

If you are by the pool and want to have lunch ,etc you don't need to leave to get food. The pool bar has some great choices. You can also get take out at the PM. The PM is soooo easy to use. The basic difference between the Pm and the other food courts is that you get to sit down with your food and eat without having to run around after drinks and silverware. You pay when you leave. That's it. You can definitely take food to your room. There is also a limited room service menu! CSR is a bit more than a moderdate resort. Believe me, you will feel like you are at a deluxe!

Cool. Thanks for the updates. Have a wonderful vacation :)

I am so looking staying at CSR. The trips my family has taken we have stayed at WL and then we bought DVC and now stay at VWL. My husband loves VWL and WL so much he doesn't want to try new places at all. I am the one with wander lust and wanting to try other resorts, so when I conviced him about me doing the Danskin Tri...I told him that I wanted to stay at CSR because that is where all the meetings are. So I my just delighted to read your report and I have checked out yours and epcotfan's websites about CSR. I am so excited to finally be staying at another resort. So thanks for the reports. And I am also looking forward to trying the Pepper Market....never done that either. :flower:

:cool1: :goodvibes

I'll be at the CSR in a month with my family. I bought the new Disney Plan for two meals and a snack a day. There is controversy as to if the Maya Grill and the Pepper Market take the Plan. I just called the Hotel's front desk and they tell me that THEY ARE NOT IN THE PLAN. Since you are there right now do you know for sure one way or another. Thanks

Buzz2001 CSR is one of my wife and my favourite resorts we stayed there for a week out of our 3 week honeymoon at Disney when we got married. We just loved everything about the place and the Fajitas are the best I have ever had.

You can bring the take out where ever you like to. Sitting by the pool that day was great because it was so nice out. But I've eaten in our room too. Just remember to ask for a TO GO ticket.

Can someone please explain what you mean by the new numbering system? Thanks
The villages at CSR have been renumbered. What was cabana 9b is now 9e & 9d.

I am using the new numbering system in the descriptions below. The map on my website is the old numbering system and the map I attached below has the new numbering system.

cabana 9e & 9d are close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge

cabana 8a, 8b & 8c are close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8d & 8e and 9a, 9b & 9c are inbetween the above cabanas.

Cabana rooms are mostly waterview rooms or non parking lot views and will be at the waterview pricing.

ranchos 7e, 7f, 7g & 7h has the quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. It is behind cabana 8a, 8b, 8c.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

Buzz,
any word on when they are actually going to renumber the buildings though? When we were there last week it was still 9a, 9b, 8a, 8b.

Hey Buzz,

We just got back from our wonderful stay at CSR on Monday. What a wonderful resort!! The CM's were fantastic, especially Ahimsa at the front desk, who gave us a free upgrade to a corner waterview room in Cabanas 8b when she found we'd been assigned a Casitas room (not what I had requested). Very comfortable; 2 windows; quick access to Dig Site for DD; shuttle stop right outside.

After 3 straight days of 2 parks a day, my feet were so sore, I really came to appreciate those shuttles. Plus, they're pretty entertaining. One gal drives hers with the pedal to the metal. Yee Ha! Better hold on if you're riding on the back.

We only ate breakfast at PM, but it was great every time.

A big plus is the speed of WDW transportation from CSR to everywhere else. Fastest of all the resorts we've been at. (Some pretty funny drivers too.)

The resort is very attractive and seems well kept up. Thanks for your website and recommendations back when I was deciding where to stay. Have a wonderful time, as I'm sure you will.

Harry

P.S. We rode in one of the new "Magical Express" Mears buses on the way to the airport. (Had to pay.) Very nicely decorated and designed. Wish they'd started the service before now, but it will be a great addition.

Buzz2001 I think from the looks of your pics on your site we were in a king room in Rancho6A we were the first room around the corner from the stairs away from the main path. You walk under the stairs and over to the quiet pool if memry serves and straight up to the main pool. We sat on the big rocks and had our pics taken by another couple there on thier honeymoon. We still go and visit every trip it looks so much better now with the small creek finnished and all the new groth like the trees etc when we were there last staying that is the creek beds were dry and the trees were tiny.

Actually, this may be the deal breadker w/my BF for staying at CSR again. he was very disturbed with the way the shuttles drove around people who were walking, especially when two were coming from opposite directions. And I saw a couple of kids nearly get run over as they were playing in teh beach area.
