AWESOME as usual. We checked in around 10:45am. As we turn onto CSR property, I knew I was home. The huge CSR sign on both sides of the entrance welcomes all guests to the resort. The landscaping is beautiful and perfectly maintained. We pulled up to the bellhop station and someone helped us with our luggage. I walked in to check in and there was a some crowd. It only took about 15 minutes to check in. We got cabana 9b so I was happy. CM's here are still using the old maps and numbering system. When I made my request for a room I used both the old and new numbers to avoid a mix up.

Our room wasn't ready yet so it was of to the Pepper Market for lunch. Had to start off vacation with a Wet Burrito. It was around 11:15am and the crowds were very minimal. CM's were great. Cleaning tables, getting refills for guests, cleaning the tables. I saw them come around and ask guests if they had questions about the PM. You definitelt get more service than a average food court.

Then we walked around the resort to check out the pool and that also was not very crowded. Tables were still available so DD went for a swim. Learned to bring here suit in a separate bag that we always carry with us. The lifeguard play games with the smaller kids. I was watching her. She spent around an hour playing all types of water games with the kids. It was great.

We were pleasantly surprised to find our room ready after that around 1:20pm. Everything was perfect. The fridge was in the room and incased with a decorative box. Will post pictures later. DW called for more pillows and coffee and within minutes they showed up with the pillows and a bag of coffee (4 extra) for DW.

The Maya Grill is now offering a lunch buffet. I'll post the menu later. It runs from noon till 2:00pm. Looks good. I know they have a good breakfast buffet but this will be another option for guests.

The weather is awesome. 75 to 80 degrees and no humidity.

The resort doesn't seem that crowded but I think there is 2 conventions going on. One looks ot be some sort of Native American convention and the is a defense convention. Lots of military personnel and guests carrying bags that read Dept of Defense, Pentagon. They look official but making the pool and buses seem empty. Works for me and I feel safe too.

After the swim, we went to MGM. DD wanted to ride ToT and RnR. We got to ride each twice. The park didn't seem crowded as I expected. 15 min wait on ToT and 30 on RnR. RnR got up to 45 after our 2nd turn. But even the crowds walking around the park didn't seem too bad. I'll know better today, we are hitting EPCOT.

Came back to the resort and got some take out from the Pepper Market and ate by the pool while DD wnet swimming again. Or should I say rode the slide 20 times. The pool bar and food section closed at 6:00pm. Made sense since there was only about 30 people at the pool.

The high speed internet service in the room is cool and really easy to use. I saw guests using the WiFi at the pool bar too.

I left my laptop out and so far (knock on wood) no issues.

Any questions, let me know and I'll try to answer tonight.

Off to Mission Space and Test Track!! I hope I can get on Soarin'

Oh, thanks for thinking of "us dreamers" while on your vacation. It's sounds wonderful. If I can't be there, I will live vicariously thru your report. Looking forward to hearing more. :sunny:

Thanks for letting us know that they are still using the old numbering system. I guess I had better call CRO and change my request from 9E to 9b. Hope you and your family have a wonderful vacation.

Thanks for the report! Sounds like all is well at CSR! Gotta love their pool slide!

Thanks again!

:goodvibes I'm sooo jealous. Have a great time and if you have free time :rotfl: please snap a few shots of that jr. suite for me. Please don't go way out of your way for it...for heavens sake, you're on your vacation. But if you get the opportunity. Thanks and think of us poor :guilty: sad folks sitting here dreaming about the world.

Well be staying there for the first time at the end of June for six nights. Once again Buzz you make it sound so wonderful! So tell me, exactly how do you do your room requests? We wont be arriving until late in the afternoon and Im worried that we wont get our(request) And I know that it is just that, but I think we all have the perfect vacation pictured in our heads and if it doesnt go as planned we are a little disappointed. Anything that I can do to help it along will make me feel like I tried. Thanx Mimimom :wave2:

Thanks for the update Buzz! We stayed at CSR last year based on your recommendations and loved it! We would definately stay there again if not for the fact that our goal is to stay at every WDW resort. Enjoy your vacation and be sure to post a report. :earsgirl:

Thanks some much Buzz! Wish we were there also. We love CSR! Have a great time! ::MinnieMo

Went to EPCOT this morning. In 2.5 hours, we were able to do MS, TT and Soarin' 2 times each. Yes, Soarin' was open today for a soft opening. Only 10 min wait times. The CM stated that the que is the longest at WDW built to accomodate 3 hour wait times! All inside and air conditioned. The ride is great. We were able to get seated in row 1 which is the highest tier and then row 3. Awesome ride!!

The park isn't that crowded as expected being that all of us Northeasterners are here on spring break. The weather is great too!

When getting off the bus at bus stop 1, we saw 2 lifeguards looking at something in the small pond by cabana 9b. He called us over and it was a small gator. My DD took a photo. The CM stated there are 3 currently living at CSR. This one has been there since it was a foot long. It is about 4 ft now. He also stated they leave them alone until they reach 4.5 feet in length.

Time for a dip at the Dig Site before heading back to Le Cellier for dinner.

Sounds like you are having a great time! I was at CSR on 4/17 & 4/18, stayed in Casitas 3 and had a really pretty view of the fountains in the courtyard. The weather is perfect this time of year too! Have fun!!

Thanks for the info about the CSR. Based on your good reviews and all the info at your website, we are staying there May 2-May 6. I can hardly wait!

Sounds like you're having a great time!

It sounds like you are having a great time. It makes me a little "homesick" for CSR. I really want to try AKL next time because I think DS will love it but CSR is always such a draw for us. :)

Thanks for the report. I'm just sitting in my little office with no windows wishing I was there! :sunny:

Awesome! And thanks for taking the time out to let us know how it is. We will be there in one week, our first stay at the CSR and the more I hear about it the more excited I get!

Glad you are having a good time. I miss it!!!

I'm going to be there in 11 days!! I can't wait. from everything I've read on your website, I'm going to love it!!

I will save your CSR web-site. I would love to see your updated pictures.
CSR won my families vote if we stay at a moderate next year.

But the Y/BC pool is my teenage DS & DD dream - only if we can get A/P rates. Otherwise - it's CSR with an Aero bed.
