Hey all,

I was just wondering if you knew of anywhere you could find Hercules and Meg in the parks.. You know, character meet and greets :]

Well, I suppose I'm *really* just on the lookout for Meg, but I assume she'd be around Hercules..

Thanks for your help~

Meg, Herc, And The Spunky Muses Are in Fantasmic @ Hollywood Studios

=]

I Just about Peed myself, i have been a Hercules Fan Since Birth, i remember having my mother tell me i played it 10x in a row one day at age 2, and even after not watching it for 5 years, i knew the words by heart

Im leaving in A Little less than a month, ill take pictures of the Hercules Characters.

Oh weird, I don't remember them being in Fantasmic.. What part are they in? Are the "actual" characters in the show, or are they just shown on the water screens?

I'm still on the look out for a meet and greet :]

Looks like for Meet and Greets they are "ridicuously rare" to see, and haven't really been seen since 2006.

This is a great site for finding out where characters might meet, and how likely you are to see them. (Lots of "retired" characters here too):

I remember several years ago (4?) being at MGM and Meg and Hercules were there chatting and signing autographs. I am pretty sure they had a Stars in Motor Cars Parade Car too. Anyway... Meg was talking to a guest about the fact they would no longer be at the park after that day. I don't know if they meant just the parade or at all, but I've never seen them since, only Hades.

Ditto I remember like 4 years ago Herc being at the front of the park with no lines or anything :)

Oh that's too bad. I was really, really hoping to get Meg's autograph.

Is the thing where you can mail in a request for a signed character picture and they mail one back to you still available? I've seen it around the boards where someone'll get an autograph of Mickey or Tink for their kid.

Hercules and Meg are indeed ridiculously rare... truly, they should probably be classified as retired in the parks. Sadly, Meg has traditionally been even more rare than Hercules, to begin with.

The character *do* appear in Fantasmic (yes, the actual character, not just their likenesses), so you can see them there. I have hear a tale or two of someone being able to meet Meg after Fantasmic after asking a cast member, but I would *not* count on this - the stories strike me as that rare brand of Disney magic.

I do think that you can still send in a photo and ask for an autograph.

Yes, these characters are pretty much retired. But back in March I think it was someone reported seeing Megara at the International Gateway! But she was there for one day only ... probably training I suppose.

For years they have featured Tarzan and Jane as featured "rare characters" at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. My hope has been that they'd swap these characters out for Hercules and Meg some year. I can never figure out why they have the same characters year after year at the Halloween party. Why not switch it up a bit??

Thanks for all your info!!

I did a search through past topics and found the WDW fan mail address I can write to, so I can hopefully get Meg's autograph that way.

:]

Here is a picture I took of Meg at Epcot on 3/7/07. I have seen not her since. :confused3

Does Meg have on a purple dress in Fantasmic? We were there last week and DD9 saw a girl in a purple dress and is bugging me everyday about who she was.

(oops apparently I am too quick...Dizholic just answered my question...with a pic even! Thanks!)

I was the one who actually had gotten to meet Megara after Fantasmic.
I met her in 2007, and she gave me an personalized autographed photo as well.
I wish Hercules had been available but he wasn't.

Wowsers!

What wonderful luck and Disney magic!

Meg is one of DD's favorites, it would be a dream come true to see them at the Halloween Party meet and greet in lew of Tarzan and Jane (saw them last year).

I agree, they should change up the meet and greet characters from year to year (except for Snow and the dwarves).

Wow, Amy, that's so awesome!! Maybe when I go to Fantasmic, I'll ask around. It can't hurt, right?

That's such a great autograph... "It's been a real slice" Haha! :]

Hercules is not in the parks at all at the moment. Meg is very rare, and is really only out a few times a year (less than 10). If she appears, it will likely be where the previous post showed at Epcot, near the International Gateway. The only other location is the Toontown teardrop. Both of these are pure chance, and cannot be planned on. But hey, if you happen to see her, good for you!

What is the Toontown teardrop? I've never heard of it~

The tear drop is past the train stop in toon town. There is a smoking section right there, but if you walk through that then you'll see a little area with a circle around shrubbery. It looks like a tear drop!

Rare and unannounced characters may frequent this area based on the time of year it is. Any time a new CP session starts will make that area busy!

I don't know if you'd be able to just ask any CM.... They generally do Meet and Greets if you know someone who works in fantasmic entertainment and that person has to let them know ahead of time.. they do the meet and greet between shows.

Of course, this was last year back when they had Fantasmic all the time...
