I need some help! I'll be going in late September and will be travelling with my wife and 2 kids, we've narrowed down the choices to WL, BC, GF, or Poly, we will primarily be going to MK , also how is the bus transport from BC to MK, I'm just a little concerned about that. Also, can you guys tell me why one resort is better than the other.
Thanks

PS. can somebody tell me how to put a counter on.

I voted Beach Club because it's our favorite resort. The reason is because we love the Epcot Resort Area. We don't have kids and we find this area to be perfect for us. Lots of shopping/dining. Love Stormalong Bay.

However, given the fact that you'll be spending most of your time at MK, I think you should take what I like with a grain of salt. We spend most of our time at Epcot and MGM. I would choose the Poly I think if I were you. Never stayed there but visited it a lot. It's beautiful and I think kids would love it. We have stayed at the GF and CR. The GF is beautiful, but the pool left something to be desired. kids love pools you know. I think you'd enjoy the Poly.

I would choose the Polynesian for a couple reasons. You are planning on spending most of the time at the MK so you have two types of transport available from the Polynesian. You can take the monorail or the boat from the dock and if you are in the right location the ferry boat isn't to far either. The new pool is a pretty fun spot. The theme is a bit more casual than at the GF. If you all like the frilly Victorian look of the rooms at the GF that would be okay too though their new pool is a little less impressive than the Polynesian.
The WL is really good too, particularly if you want to spend a little less money. The transport options aren't quite as good but it is a very comfortable place to stay.
The BC has the best pool and location for going to Epcot and the Studios.

I voted WL. My DH & I took our 4yr DD and 6yr DNephew last August. We stayed at WL and loved it, here's why:

1. The resort, while a deluxe, is smaller than the Poly and GF. The grounds are not as spread out. When you walk out your room door, you're inside the hotel and don't have to go outside to get to the major hotel areas (Whispering Canyon, Mercantile, Roaring Forks - snack bar, refillable mugs.) With walking all around the parks and such, the kiddo's were tired and we didn't need to hear whining if we had to walk somewhere around the hotel. Things were just closer. Including the pool. This proximity feature came in handy for the brief afternoon rains!

2. The transportation to WL wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. They have boats that run to MK and CR, which are great rides in themselves. Very relaxing and fun to watch all those out on their mouseboats! Made Chef Mickeys and easy character breakfast to get to also. The bus depot wasn't a far walk from the lobby either. Only drawback was sharing some busses with FW and even GF/Poly on an occassion.

3. The kids loved the bunk beds (and I'm sure they would rate this the #1 reason to stay at WL).

I believe WL is also the cheapest of the resorts you listed (which may factor in for some). Whispering Canyon was tons of fun, the storytime in the lobby was something the kids wanted to do, but we never made it back in time. You also have easy access (walking or boat ride) to Fort Wilderness for the activities there for kids (marshmallow roast & movie with chip n dale, petting zoo, hoop dee doo review, etc.).

Hope I helped with at least a little info.
