Thanks for everyones feedback on my previous post, but I have another question. As I stated in my previous post I've already booked a Pkg. for our stay and here is my question. For roughly $350.00 more I could change my reservation to the GC. Is it worth it for the price difference? Are the rooms at the GC any nicer than the ones at the DL Hotel? If anyone has stayed here please give me your advice as to help us in our decision. Thanks everybody. We really do appreciate it!! Chip.

How many nights for the difference of $350? I think your girls would enjoy the more "grown-up" atmosphere of the Californian, but they would also enjoy the DL Hotel. Have you stayed at the DL Hotel before? If not, you might want to experience it at least once! The location of the Californian is more convenient than the DL hotel. It has its own entrance into DCA (handy for changing after GRR). It is also very near the main gates and the monorail. I personally choose to stay off site entirely because I spend so little time in my room that it's just not worth it. We do marathon days in the parks and barely work in time for a swim. It kind of depends on your vacation style if it's worth that much to stay in a nicer hotel.

Hi chip64. I have the oposite opinion of Elly.

We are staying off site due to we have 2 free nights to use. I personally would rather be at the GCH (using our DVC points) for our stay in July. We loved the convinece of the hotel due to its so convienct to take breaks from the parks. We had theme park view and we could look out our window and see whats happening in the park. We had easy access to DL and of course DCA. We loved our room. It was big and the bathroom was spacious (if I remember correctly its been 2 yrs). We have been to the DL hotel many many times and that is our 2nd love (due to its the original disney hotel). If you have ever been to the AKL or the the Wilderness Lodge in WDW then you and your family will love this hotel. Is it worth the $350 I really don't know. Of course like Elly said your not in your room much. Of course that $350 could be put more disney souvineers for your family. Its your decision. Talk with your family and see what they want.
