Help!!!!!!!!!

I can't understand what is happeneing! I am on Atkins diet.
Last week I lost about 3 lbs, not really weigh in day yet and I appear to have put on 2 lbs already.
I have not cheated, I have been having around 20g of Carb per day.
The ketostix have been a mid pink all through except when I first get up in the morning then in place of the expected purple they do not change colour for around an hour or until I have eaten,

I still have around 36 lbs to lose!

Any ideas????

When we weigh ourselves everyday we can become discouraged because of normal fluid fluctuations.

I cannot weigh myself everyday. I have gained as much as 12 pounds overnight from fluid retention. It happens to the best of us.

I sure hope you measured yourself when you began Atkins. If you are in ketosis that is proof that you are burning your own fat. So, what often happens is that instead of getting lighter you get smaller. Since that is your true goal that is excellent progress.

Have you measured yourself? Don't panic, you are doing fine. The fact that you are spilling ketones in your urine is proof that you are burning fat. Hang in there
 
You may also want to make sure you're not getting hidden carbs - are you counting the carbs in your eggs? cream? cheese? Spices? They all count!

But, I'm sure that if your sticks are pink, then you will be losing soon! Hang in there! Sometimes it takes our bodies awhile to adjust! :)
