so excited to be going 'home' in 5 mths although its a budget version of what we normally or like to try to do!
As ive never done a trip this way i hope some of you will be able to help me with a couple of things:
were staying off site near universal (doubletree)
i really want to visit wdw but always stated on site before, just to be able to go for a day or two & i'd be happy
does anyone know what the best ticket to get for 1 or 2 days (preferably being able to park hop) i was gonna wait till we get out there & have heard that theres places that re-sell unused tickets - is this safe, legit & legal?? i thought you had to have finger scans so how can you buy someone elses unused tickets??

also hoping to visit DTD & boardwalk were not driving - is it easy to get there from universal area, whats the best way? would prefer a taxi?

hope some wise & wonderful person out there can help me :worship:

If you wait until you arrive in Orlando, buy your 1 or 2 day ticket from Disney. Disney does not discount 1 or 2 day tickets so an authorized re-seller often adds a handling fee making them more expensive than buying them at the gate. I haven't stayed at the Doubletree, but it's very likely you'll be able to purchase tickets at their concierge desk.

Anyone selling the tickets for less than gate price is probably "not safe, not legit and not legal." Most likely they're selling partially used tickets to unsuspecting visitors and as you said, the finger scan won't match and they'll be denied entry to the park.

If you are going for 1 day the hopper add on is $35. If you want hopping on a 2 day ticket it will be $55. If you plan to hop on just one day it's cheaper to buy one 1 day ticket with hopping and one 1 day ticket without (you'll save $20.)

thankyou - im considering booking 1 night in wdw aswell now :)
