Me and my boyfriend (celebrity) are planning to go on vacations to disney world in Jan.
The problem is we want to book the platinium package but due to his busy schedule we would have to make resevations last min, I am concerned this will affect our reservations in everything since I know it involves a lot of activities that require it, we are also planning on getting VIP tour for some parks which are the best parks to request this service, and finally what is your opinion of the animal kingdom lodge.

We have done the platinum pkg and we go every year in January.

Most restaurants and tous are not at full capacity in Jan (unless you are talking MLK weekend and then all bets are off). So last minute, esp if you are a bit flexible with times, should work for you. It's a very slow time at WDW. For Jan 08, we moved reservations around same day while there and our Keys to the Kingdom Tour was not full.

Because it's Jan and you are doing Platinum, I would not bother with VIP as the crowds will be much lower. But if I were going to do VIP in Jan, I would pick MK ALWAYS as it is most crowded park at any time of the year.

AKL is amazing, my fav resort. The only downside, esp with Platinum Plan, is that it's remote location makes it difficult to get to everything. AKL, for me, is the perfect place to go for vacation when we want to have plenty of relaxing downtime at the resort.
