its my roomates birthday and the floor chipped in and bought her a cake. I didn't eat any when my floor was eating their pieces but now the left over cake is sitting in my room. I'm trying really hard not to eat it, but it looks sooooo yummy!

Don't eat it! My husband brought up yesterday that I would have to walk on the treadmill for at least a half an hour to burn off 3 oreos! Think how long a piece of cake would take! You don't really want it- or else you would have had some earlier. You only want it because it is in front of you. Hide it in the fridge or a cabinet. If that isn't an option and your roommate doesn't want it, throw it away.
Good luck!

Get rid of it!! Give it away, take it to work, throw away if you have to!! It's really harsh but the best way to avoid these temptations is to simply not have them around. And really, you find you don't even miss them.

(Sure I say this now as I nearly strangle DH at the grocery store as he says "We don't need this" re: box of cookies, ice cream, etc) :upsidedow
