I have rented my excess points then,last few years thru David’s . From here, i understand that their are changes to the contract. What are they? I had 2;
rentals in aug and Oct , i nave no idea if the renters ever checked in, but i received my $$. I am from Canada, we normally drive to Vero Beach for the winter, we own a condo, cant drive across the border, due to Covid, was thinking of renting or selling some points. Is anyone even buying points these days?

The new contract requires owners to return money paid if there is an issue with the resort being closed down again which the old contract did not.

Now that we are past that being a concern like it was in June when this post was started, it may not be as crucial as it was for WDW resorts.

People are still renting but the brokers are still trying to use up the points they already paid for when the closures happen so new Points are not going as quickly.

Those that are qualified to post here seem to be having better luck but the prices have come down since Disney is offering some decent deals and people are worried about the non refundable aspect.

I made a decision when COVID came and changed the rental world from from that day forward if we can't use our points then we'll just have to give them away to family and friends. And that's what we're going to do.

This is what I've been doing. I still "rented" out some but we've just decided to splurge on nicer accommodations with our points.
