Returning from Orlando…. I am trying to decide b/w the following one-way:

1) Southwest (assuming they have their 10:50 am NONSTOP departure from Orlando) usually about $100 one way times 4 of us= $400. Leaves at 10:50 am (morning after MNSSHP) so we would have to be at ME bus stop around 7:50??

2) Fly American for FREE (we have credits). Leaves Orlando 12 pm (so bus stop @ 9 am) Connection is Charlotte. 1 hour in Charlotte.

The 2nd option is appealing obviously b/c we would be flying back for free. But, I HATE CONNECTIONS. It would also give us a little more time to get out the next morning after a possibly late night, about an hour more time in the morning…. But again, I HATE CONNECTIONS. Wanted to do this trip right since we probably won't go again for a while and we REALLY wanted to fly nonstop, but its just so appealing to save $400. Also is 1 hour in Charlotte enough time for delays, etc?! I really hate dealing w/ connections esp w/ small toddlers. Help!

Where is your final destination?

Personally, if I were you, (again this is just me), if you have toddlers I would pay the $400 and do the nonstop. I always pay more for nonstop. Flying really isn't my favorite thing to do and I want one takeoff, one landing. Done.

Teachtink: That is the way I was thinking…I agree with you. I am inclined to just spend the $400. Our girls will be 2 and 4. We have done connections with them (not fun) so I really just wanted to fly nonstop on this trip.

I fly to MCO every month and always connect in CLT. Sometimes with as little as 45 minutes to connect. CLT is probably the easiest of the US Airways hubs to connect in.
That being said hands down a no brainer. If you can afford the Southwest tickets to fly nonstop I would do that in a heartbeat with toddlers.
Have a great trip!
