It is worth quite a lot but I have worn it maybe 5 times ever. I am large boned and the bracelet just closes. At the time he got it, yellow gold was very "in" and our wedding rings are yellow gold. Now I much prefer white gold, sterling silver or platinum. Do you suppose I could have the diamonds reset in white gold, etc. ? How do I find out if a local jewelry store is legit and won't replace my real diamonds with fake? This bracelet was appraised at $6500 fifteen years ago so I don't want to be taken but yet, I don't wear it now so something needs to change.

you could just get it dipped in white gold. I have a few friends who did that to their yellow gold engagement rings.

See if you can find a place to have it dipped in white gold. We had a white gold bracelet dipped in yellow gold for my niece's Sweet 16 gift. It came out great. You would never be able to tell. The jeweler did it and I think it was free of very small fee

It's called rodiumed. They just dip it. I had mine done and I love it. You might have to have it redipped at some point but either the amount you wear it I doubt it.

When fine jewelry shopping, I prefer Jerod's. They have an 'exchange' program where credit is given towards the price of new purchase. Perhaps you would have someone local who would do similar? Get the white gold in the size you will wear. Undoubtedly this option is pricier than having your bracelet rhodium dipped.

All "white gold" jewelery is rhodium plated. A good jeweler can also make an extension so that the bracelet will fit properly without it looking out of place.
