Help! WTD now?

Okay, thought I had this all wired and wrapped up but today my mom told me that my grandmother's timeshare week is available for this year. I can trade it in for two choices in the Orlando area. One is Grand Beach Resort and the other is Cypress Pointe Grand Villas.
I am thoroughly confused now. I have read reviews here and out in google-land.. The reviews as with anywhere, are mixed. On yahoo, most people give the CPGV a terrible review. Say that it's going thru bankruptcy, no maid svc etc...Reading tripadvisor is more favorable.
I don't know who to believe and what to do.
I have my onsite resv for WL/AKL. I was happy finally! I had picked our resorts! Then this new development really throws a wrench in it.
I know we can save a buttload of money by using hte t.s. for the first week and then we'd move to wdw property. I am torn. In my heart I want to stay on property but if we stay off for part we'll be able to do/eat/buy whatever we want w/the $$ we save......
Any suggestions? See a shrink?

I've never stayed at Cypress Pointe, but I've heard that it's very nice. I've stayed at the Grand Beach a couple of times and liked it. Some of the rooms in the units aren't huge, but if you're just staying in a Disney hotel room, you would definitely have more space.

I'd go for the timeshare in a heartbeat even if the money was the same for the extra space and the kitchen.

I have several family members with timeshares and all of them have been pleased with both places.

been to Cypress Pointe going in Dec to Grand Beach.

would pick Cypress Pointe - it is a great location. So is Grand beach - but it is less hidden.

as far as bankuptcy is considered haven't heard anything.

so would go to

www.tug2.net - the florida board - there is a member who is on the board at Cypress Pointe. he was telling about all the changes. He would know.

thanks for the replies.....after much discussion we have decided to do the total disney immersion and stay on property. Thanks much for the replies though!!
