Help?!?! WL or CR?

My wife and I are going to WDW at the end of may and are staying for 7 nights. 3 nites at PO-R and 4 at either the Wilderness Lodge or the Contempery. She has never been and I haven't been in about 10 years. She is sort of wanting the WL but I am a lover of the monorail and think the CR would be best. I would appreciate and opinions I could get. I haven't yet stayed at CR. But I absolutely LOVE WL! The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking! I can still here the music and smell that wood smell when I think about the resort..... aahhh

I had such a hard time deciding between the Poly & WL. We picked the poly only to try something different....

hi: we've stayed at both many times, and it really depends on what you're looking for preference-wise. the contemporary is right there on the monorail with a lot of decent places to eat/shop. the rooms are a bit larger and brighter. the wilderness lodge is wonderfully relaxing. the theming of the lodge is great. the hot tubs are a better temperature (in my opinion) than at the other resorts. if you want to do a little unwinding and relaxing at the end of your vacation, then the wilderness lodge is the way to go.

In my opinion, the WL is the way to go. You can boat directly to the MK or boat to the Contemporary if the Monorail is a must do. You have the scenic tranquility of the Lodge, wonderful hot tubs, and a staff that bends over backwards to meet your needs. If my last day on earth could be at the Lodge I would allready have one foot in Heaven........

As far as theming, the WL has more atmosphere, however, being able to walk to MK in 10 minutes is a huge plus, and the monorail, and the rooms are way bigger at the Contemporary than at the WL.

You should discuss it deeper, and find out what appeals to both of you!!

I, too, vote for WL and I am a monorail nut. My dream job is to be a driver one day but for now I will just be an engineer. Anyway, we took the boat over from WL to CR several times last summer and rode the monorail to MK. So really the WL to me has the better theme and easy access to the monorail.

Thanks everybody. I think we will go with the WL. We upgraded to Courtyard View and I think that will be best.
