I know it is probably hard to compare the two, and it kind of depends on preference, but I have a res. at Wilderness Lodge for Nov. 24-Dec.1 and am trying to decide if I should keep it or change to BWI. I can get a room at BWI with the code for about $500.00 less, and so far can not get the code for WL, but that is not my biggest deciding factor. Can I get some input, please. I have a 6 yr. old daughter, if that help. Thanks.

Well, as you can tell by reading my signature, I'm very partial to WL. However, a $500 discount for staying at another Deluxe, one that usually costs more than WL by the way, is nothing to sneeze at. As much as I love WL, I'd probably make the jump to BWI.

If your 6 YO was maybe 1 or 2 years younger, I'd be more hesitant to make the jump, but 6 is definitely old enough that she might be just as into EPCOT and MGM (walkable or boatable from BWI) as she'd be into MK (boatable from WL).

You would not be at WL during the Holidays, when it is supposedly beautiful, but you can always just make a quick boat ride over there on your MK day and check out the lobby's decorations, if needed. Anyway, I'm sure BWI will be decorated in its own way.

If it were me, I'd probably take BWI and the $500.

Both resorts are wonderful! You can't go wrong. So i say book at the BWI and save the $500.

Well, we have stayed at both resorts and they are both fabulous. However, BWI is our absolute favorite resort. If you can book it for that price, I think you should go for it! You can always try WL next time.

For that price, definitely BWI! It is gorgeous at Christmas time and normally a good bit more than WL. We loved our stay there and are going back in the middle of December.

We love, love, love BW! We stayed there in June 06 (just DH and me) and agian in April 07 (whole family and granparents in adjoining room) Our 1, 2 and 4 year old loved it too! They loved the pool, the Boardwalk and especially the boats to MGM and Epcot! My two and four year old loved the daybed and took turns sleeping on it every night. I must say we have never stayed at WL but I we love BW too much not to recomend it. :goodvibes

For your children's age I would stay at WL. We stayed @ both and love each one but WL is much easier for the Magic @ the Kingdom. Although your not going at a real busy time so maybe its worth the $500.

Is it not too aggravating to get to MK?

We don't find it difficult at all to get to MK. We have never had long wait times for the buses and although the buses do stop at Swan and Dolphin we never found it to be a long bus ride. Coming back at night if the bus stopped at Swan and Dolphin first we just hopped off at the first stop and walked over the bridge to BW. We have also stayed at POFQ and vowed never to stay there again simply beacuse of the buses! We din't feel that way at all about BW.:)

I got the same choice - BWV for 500 less than my WL room - I LOVE WL but DH and I have always wondered what it would be like to stay at an Epcot resort - we have never done the boardwalk at night, so I jumped at the studio.

Also, I remember the Xmas decor at BW was gorgeous a few years ago. It will be harder to get to MK but easier to get to Epcot and MGM.
