I feel so stupid, I wrapped the Wii bundle pack and all the extra Wii games before reading what kind of controler they need??

Can anyone tell me what is needed for the following:

Wii Sport
Wii Resort
Toy Story Mania
Guilty Party

This is our first Wii and we are clueless as to what is needed to work these games!!! Also, will I need batteries? Is the charger necessary?

Wii Sport and Wii Resort just need the Wii-mote and nunchuk for each player. You will need batteries, although I would absolutely recommend the charger. Can't help you with the other two games.

I bought Toy Story Mania and it says you just need the wi mote.

Just the Wiimote for the Toy Story Game, pretty sure it's just the Wiimote for Guilty Party as well but mine is already put away so I can't check to be sure.

The Wii Resort will require a wii-mote and nunchuck that includes motion plus. If you just bought the Wii new from the store it probably has it but you will want to double check since I have seen a few deals lately that look like a good price for a wii but don't include motion plus in the controller. If your wii came with resort then it definatly already has it. If not, you might have to buy the motion plus add on that connects to the bottom of your wii-mote. It's about $18. If you buy a second remote, also make sure that it includes motion plus. The one without it is about $10 cheaper. Same deal if you buy a third party controller. Not all of them are motion plus capable. Make sure of what you are buying.

Thanks so much everyone!!!

Now, does more than one person play at the same time? Or do they each just take a turn?

If they play more than one person at a time, does that mean two nunchucks ad two motion plus controllers?

What size batteries and how often do they run out? and lastly does the charger actually charge the batteries in the controller? or charge the controllers without batteries? phew:confused3 I'm one confused momma!!!

Oh yea, I also saw a comercial with people holding what looked like a steering wheel? is that something I need for just certain games?

While I do not like the Nyko brand wiimotes or nunchucks, I love this charger

They make it in 2 wide or a 4 wide. We recently replaced our 2 wide, but we have had it since the Wii came out (3 ish years ago maybe?) and ple ayed a lot, so I feel we got our money worth several times over.

They come with battery packs, but it you want to go the traditional way, they take 2 AA batteries each. None in the nunchuck, it runs off the wiimote.

The wheel is used for racing type games, like Mario Kart, which is fantastic btw. It comes with one, but we really like the Game Stop brand wheels a lot.

One person vs two people playing at the same time depends on the game. For the Resorts game they can all be played by just one person. If you want a second person to play they either have to have their own controller and nun chuck or they have to share one. The games within resort like Archery and Bowling work fine with sharing a controller but games like sword play and table tennis definatly requires a second set of controllers. Do yourself a favor and buy the official nintendo controllers. There have been alot of problems with third party controllers such as the Nyko ones sold at Walmart. For some they seem to work fine, for others they seem to loose sync with the wii very easily. The difference in price for a nintendo wii and nunchuck vs the nyko is about $20. The wheel is used for racing games. If you buy Mario Kart new it sometimes comes with the wheel. It isn't a controller but a holder for your controller. You place the wii remote inside the center of it. If you search for wii wheel on amazon you will see all sorts of them for sale. They run about $20 for a pair. I can't comment on the battery life. I have only had our wii for a few weeks now but haven't had to change the batteries out yet. If you have kids that will be playing it for a couple of hours a day then a charger will probably be a good idea.

For sure invest in rechargable batteries and a charging station for your remotes. It saves a lot of money. Like the PP's said if you bought your pack with Wii resort you should have the motion plus. Some games do not use the motion plus like Just Dance 2 which you can play with up to 4 players at a time. You should also have the nunchuck because games such as Epic Mickey require it and so do some of the sports games in Wii Resort. We got along for a long time with two remotes. It used to be that you would get an additional controller when you bought the old Wii Sports. I am not sure if that's the same.
