Help with trip.

i am going to disneyland in ten days with my family.


And my parents want to know some cheap moderate hotels relatively close to disneyland.


We are staying for 3 days and are getting a 2-day hopper pass.


Also, we have six people coming!!!



Any suggestions on where we should stay?

There are a lot of "Moderate" good neighbor hotels along Harbor Blvd. At this late date, I don't know how "cheap" they are going to be.

Do your parents have AARP, senior discounts or AAA may also be available.

HOJOs, Candy Cane Inn, The Tropicana, Best Western Park Place Inn and The Carousel are all popular choices here on the boards and within easy walking distance. The Candy Cane offers a free breakfast and dedicated shuttle to the parks.

There is a sticky on top of the board that shows maps of the different hotels near the parks.

Here are a couple questions to answer to assist the folks helping you. Everyone here has their favorite place to stay, for certain! There are a lot of lower cost hotels in the area - we just need to find the right one for your family. Some have just beds and some have the conveniences of a small apartment. Others have connecting rooms and a living room area.

Will you be driving, renting a car, or walking everywhere?
What are the ages of the folks in your party - any little ones in strollers, or grandparents that may not walk so well?
Will you need something like a suite or connecting rooms?
Is it important for anyone in your group to go back to the hotel mid-day for resting or maybe a swim in the pool and take a break?
Do you plan on eating all of your meals out or will you need a refridgerator for some items? Would having a place to cook a breakfast be important, or do you all eat cereal or pastries on the run?
What is the maximum your budget will allow per night to be comfortable? Do you need something under $100 per room, $150 per room, etc? Are you willing to pay a little more (not a lot, but a little) to be closer to the park and give up a pool, rather than be a mile or two away and have a pool, if you don't have a car?

Once you answer some of these questions, you will find that you can narrow your search as to what is important to how you vacation!

Most motels will require you to get two rooms with a party of 6. For larger groups, the Dessert Inn and Suites is a nice place. They have suites that will accommodate your entire family. It’s right across the street from the park entrance, easy walking. It’s clean, just the basics, fridge and microwave. The pool is indoors, sort of hot and humid in the summer. We’ve stayed there three times when we’ve gone with larger groups (more than 5). If you’re looking for just a clean place to sleep and shower, and keep your entire family together, I would recommend Dessert Inn and Suites.

In ten days? Anywhere you can get a bloody room, at this point! Really, most of the good places are booked solid at this time of year- I advise hitting getawaytoday.com and finding out what's got an opening.

The sooner you can book the better, for sure.
The pp's questions, are all very good ones, to ponder, and the sooner you can answer them, the better everyone can attempt to assist you, and as well as possible.

I totally agree. This is peak season! If you find a hotel BOOK IT! I suggest HoJos but I don't know if they are full already.
