we are checking in to DCR on the 5th august for 4 nights :)

our ferry back is the 10th at 12pm. so we need somewhere to stay the thursday night.

do you think we should do a night still at disney then travel in the morning to dunkirk - is that do-able? any recommendations for a one night stop?

or should we drive a bit then stop and if so any recommendations as to where we can stay?

we are me :) my hubby, our 2 girls 6 and 4 and our wee man who is 8 weeks tomorrow :) so slightly restricted by a baby but hes great :)

Aw

I've never stayed in Dunkirk, I'm trying to remember if I've been even :confused3 but I'll bump up your post a bit more for someone who might have.

DLP to Dunkirk isn't that far (300km so just over 3 hours) so it's very possible that you could do it first thing but if you hit bad traffic for example it could seriously increase your journey time and you could miss your ferry.

Do they have many crossings from there daily and can you change onto another one easily ?

As a general rule the Kyriad and Campanile chains are not bad hotels offering good value for money so you could always look at their sites and see if there was one near Dunkirk and check out the price

Etap hotels and Premiere Classe are a bit cheaper and Ibis are a bit dearer if the first ones were full.

hth a bit :goodvibes

Thanks Carrie :)

Yes plenty crossings (more than from Calais!!) it's dfds we are travelling with. Next one is 2 hours later... It's *** I'll need to feed wee man in way too.

Thank you for those links :) will have a wee look.

We booked a room once when my first was 18 months. Can't remember which chain -cheap though!! Put your card in for door key etc... Was awful!!! Room tiny! And bunked was up over our head!!!?? ;)

Bet that one was the Etap hotel :rotfl:Still it gets the job done and at least it's better than the Hotel Formule 1 chain that has the loos and showers down the hall :scared1:
