Help With Transferring of Points

We have 150 points with a use year of August. Currently from 2007, we have no points. Our plan with our 2008 points is to go to WDW in December using only 55 of the 144 points that we have remaining. We will use the rest of our points in May of 2009 following a cruise. The May trip is a definite. We're still up in the air about the December trip.

As I said in another post, my sister is wanting to go to WDW and rent points from someone. While I know that I could let her use mine, we have plans for ours. So, she is looking at renting from someone else. Instead of renting and letting someone we don't know be in charge of her reservation, I've decided the best thing to do is to have someone transfer points to my account and then I will be in control of her reservation.

I have had an offer of someone transferring points to me, 135, which is what my DS needs for her reservation. They have a use year of September. These are 2007 points that I until April to bank. I checked out the website that someone offered to see if she owns points, and she does. And, I asked for references.

Now I could care less whose points I am using for what reservation, because they are all for SSR. I just want to make sure that with the transfer that it's not going to interfere with my points and cause me any issues when I go to make my reservations. Can someone please let me know if this will work?

There should not be any issues with the two different points. Thr transfered points retain thier home resort and use year. They can be banked, they alos can be combined at the 7 month mark for reservations.

Thanks. So, if the transfer happened tomorrow, I could call right after that and make their reservation for January and use those points that I would have to bank? And, then I could make my own reservation for December when I decide if we are going whenever I decide? Does it use the banked points first?

Yes and yes.

Just make sure you tell them what points to use. Transfered points don't show up like your normal account points. I recently had points transfered into my account. Each time I had to tell them what points to take and from where.
