I thought I had this all figured out but now Im so confused:jester:

I have for sure made up my mind Im going to surprise my DH with a towncar

Now Im not sure which one!!!

Like with any company there are bad times, service or reps

so now I really dont know which one to pick.

This is our first time using a car service usually we either rent a car or use Mears and Im setting this up by myself since its a surprise (shhhhh please dont tell!!!)

so please let me know how you picked a service and how things went (the good and bad)

also any other tips or advice would be greatly appreicated:D

Thanks

I picked a towncar company after reading this board for a few months to catch a wide variety of reviews, and visiting a number of towncar websites to compare rates. I finally chose Tiffany and have used them twice. I've been very pleased. The drivers have always been on time, very professional, helpful with luggage and with the groceries at the grocery stop. The cars have been clean and well kept.

The rate was $80 round trip, but they had a $5.00 online coupon. So my final rate was $75 not counting the tip. Worth every penny IMHO. ::yes::

Good luck making the arrangements. I'll bet your DH will LOVE the towncar service!! :D

This board is a great place to do your research. Personally I use Happy Limo and have always been very pleased with their service. They also offer a coupon rate. Check out the experiences of others and you will see definite trends. Good luck! You will like a towncar MUCH better than Mears.

I should just read the sites of the companies that Ive seen on here and pick one.

I dont know why Im making such an issue out of this:confused:

I guess

since its a surprise I want it to be perfect!!!!;)

also do you pay when dropped off at the hotel for all the companies or do each have there own rules on this

so then on the way back to the airport you just need to tip the driver

also on the return trip how many hours before flight do they pick you up

thanks

Ill be doing alot of reading now!!!

I'll add something to what inkkognito said. My sister and BIL have used Happy Limo a couple times, and they've been extremely pleased. Happy Limo will also match competitors' rates. I think that mousesavers.com recommends Happy Limo.

Regarding payment, you'll pay for the whole round trip when the driver drops you at your hotel upon arrival. If you have a coupon, that's when you present it. At that time, the driver should verify pickup time with you. If I recall correctly, our drivers picked us up about 2 or 2 1/4 hours before flight time. (Both times, it was peak travel time. Not sure if their time frame would have been different for an off-peak time.)

I tipped the drivers each way. I did not have the same driver for both legs of either trip, so I'm glad I tipped separately. I tipped $15 for the arrival trip because of extra help getting luggage from airport to car, and because of help loading groceries at the grocery stop. I tipped $10 for the return trip.

Others may have different info or tips, but that's my story! Don't hesitate to ask if you have more questions. :D
