Help with Touring Plan with 7 am EMH at MK

So while the 7 am open is EXTREMELY attractive, this is our morning where we check out of AKL and into BLT. The plan is to wake up early and drop bags with bell desk and right now we are leaning towards a Minnie Van.

Questions:
1. Do you think a Minnie Van will be easy to get that early in the morning?
2. What time can we get through the turnstiles for a 7 am open?
3. Our FPs are:

8:45 - 9:45 7D
10:20 - 11:20 PP
11:15 BOG
12:10 - 1:10 BTMRR

I'm a bit lost how to take advantage of these early hours and what to hit first. What should we hit in between 7D and PP (I want to do PP as close to our BOG reservation as possible)?

If we don't get there until later, like in our 7D window, are we really hurting ourselves?

This is the Friday of Jersey Week, on a Party Day.

Thanks!

I can’t help with your specific questions but my vote would be to take full advantage of the 7AM opening. They are so rare and that’s valuable park time... might as well take full advantage of it! I generally don’t like showing up when the park has already been open for nearly 2 hours...to me it always feels more chaotic/crowded by that point.

One tip on the Minnie Van, eyeball the app on a couple of your other mornings before your switch day just to get an idea of what kind of availability you see at that hour. When you open the app it shows you where Minnie Vans are and how long you’ll have to wait. That can help you make a plan for the day you really do need it.

Hope that helps!

We are also doing a 7am EMH because while it will be painful (we fly in the evening before), it is too good to pass up. The EMH attraction list isn't great, so you should look it up as part of your decision if you haven't already. We will use it to hit 7DMT, PP, pooh and Buzz. We will then hit other priorities such as BTMRR, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, HM as quickly as possible when normal park hours start. I don't know about the Minnie Vans, but Uber would be a good option. 7am opening after clearing your room is tough. You may very well decide it's not worth it. It is our first and least crowded day of our trip, so we are sucking it up, but will head to the resort that day for break before coming back for a party night. Good luck!

Thank you for responding so quickly. I totally WANT to get there by 7. Last year our first picture was taken at 7:41 and it was awesome. I can only imagine it right at 7. It's just that it falls on check out/move day and that's a lot to think through. However, we purposefully have the earlier FPs and we might end the day after the Big Thunder FP and then enjoy our time at BLT before our dinner at 1900 PF. I'm exhausted already!

Yeah, I hear you. In the past I’ve planned something late on our crossover day, like a water park or something. I do agree the logistics of making sure you’re up/out at that hour are tough. Although we’re crazy enough to do something like that, I suppose. :-)

Is the attraction list the same for a 7 am EMH vs an 8 am EMH? Or does the list change with a 7 am opening?

Same attractions, barring mechanical issues or refurbs

I admire your stamina. We discussed hitting 7am EMH on a hotel change day and that discussion lasted about 1 minute.

The only way I'll win this one (vs hubby) is to agree to go back to hotel after (even before) parade. I think we will cover enough ground to be ok with that.
