Help with ticket questions!

Hi we will be going to the Disney Store this evening to buy our tickets, before the scheduled price increase. We will be @ Disney August 12-19. My question is as follows: I plan on buying tickets for 5 days, with water park & more option, but I am confused. If I go to Disney Quest on Aug.12, and go to MK on Aug. 13 does this mean I used 2 days from my tickets? Also, can I do a park and Blizzard beach the same day, or do we need park hopper tickets?

Theme parks are completely separate from "extras" like water parks and DQ.

You only use a "DAY" if you enter a theme park (not DQ).

You can certainly do a water park and a theme park on the same day (most people DO).
