Help with ticket question,from work

Hi all,
One of the guys at my fire house came to me with a question,which i am not so sure of the answer,so here goes.Last year him and his wife and son aged 7 stayed off site for 10 days.Long before they went there they bought a 7 day park hopper pass for each of them.However on arrival they figured they buy a extra basic 1 day ticket for each member in the family.He has explained to me this was the most basic ticket that disney sells.They paid for the ticket and got seperate ticket stubs for the 1 day ticket,they were told they would expire 14 days after first used.Now he wants to go back and he wants to know if this ticket is still good.He says they were put in his wifes pocket book and never used.He is 100% sure they never ever used these tickets,so he wants to know are they still good or did they expire even though they were never used.I think they are still good,right? If say you buy a 3 day ticket without the expiring option then they would expire if you used them to get into the park after 14 days of first used,but he never used it at all.Anyone know for sure?? If it was not used at all, then it is still good. If it was used, then it expired after the 14 day window. So, you're right.

The non-expiry option kicks in (and is only necessary) if you use part of the ticket and want to save the rest for sometime past the original 14-day window.

Something doesn't make sense: How can a one day ticket expire 14 days after first use? I think your friend might be confused.

If it is a one-day ticket, and it wasn't used, then it is definitely still good.

Please let your colleague know that it is far cheaper to add an eighth day to the 7 day (expiring) ticket when needed as opposed to buying a separate one day ticket.

Also if the ticket is going to be used up all in one sitting, non-expiration is a waste of money.

Now that your colleague and his family ultimately did not need to use the 1-days, they can add more days (maximum of 10 including days already used) to those tickets upon their next visit.
