I am about to buy my first pair of Teva's...since I have read so many positive posts....but which style is best for walking???

I'm now on my second pair of Tevas, because I loved the old ones which wore out after several years. I just got the Pretty Rugged model. They're comfortable and seem to have good soles for walking. To me, the other most important feature about them is the padding under the straps. Some models don't have that, and it makes a difference on hot days.

I just got the new Teva Circuits from rei.com and love them. Extremely comfortable. The straps are adjustable so it is easy to get a good fit or re-adjust after a full day of walking at Disney!

Have a great trip.

Less than 2 days to go for us!!!

let me start with - I have wide feet. For me, I went to several sports stores and tried on every style I could find. I had problems with the soles not "fitting" when I found a comfortable pair that already felt broken in, I bought them.

Good Luck :)

go to www.teva.com and request a catalog. I have the kinetic and love them so much in fact I bought a second pair! I also have the circuit and those are great too!

I have small, wide feet, and find that the kid's Teva's fit me better than the ladies. They are wider because they are made to fit boys as well as girls. I normally wear a ladies size 6, but the youth size 5 fits me just fine.

I recently bought the Teva Leather Circuits. They also come in nylon as well. These are what Teva classifies as walking sandals (like walking shoes). They have a shock pad in the heel and the nice padded straps as well. If you buy Teva's look for the kind with the adjustable heel strap so you can get a better fit. Mine are very comfortable, and I'm not typically a sandal person. It did take me a couple of days to get them adjusted just right though. There is a post on the old Budget board on how to properly adjust your Teva's. I can't remember it exactly, but it went something like this:

Loosen all the straps on the sandals, including the heel strap.
Stand up, place your foot in the sandal, and line up the arch of your foot with the arch of the sandal.
While flexing your toes upward, adjust the front ankle strap.
Now, adjust the heel strap so that it cups your heel.
Adjust the toe strap.

I wore mine around the house for a couple of days so I could make sure they were comfortable. Most shoe stores will accept returns on shoes as long as your haven't worn them outside. The Teva Leather Circuits that I bought were normally $80, but I found them on sale for $49.99 at American Outfitters. On www.rei-outlet.com they also have limited sizes of the nylon Circuit for $40. On www.teva.com they have nice descriptions on the various types of sandals they offer. They also have a catalog you can request. I got mine in about 2 weeks.

I haven't bought any yet but read all the old posts and looked at the web sites, and it seemed like the circuits and kinetics are the most cushy and comfy (also the most expensive) but that figures that the more you spend the more you get.

You might want to try ebay also, they have some great deals on tevas, but the problem is you can't return them if you don't like them.:p

I love my kinetics and yes they are high priced! but well worth it in my opinion! they have them at the walking store if you have one near you that you can go and try them on at!
