Help with TEENS

We are arriving in Orlando a day before we check in to Disney - looking for a CHEAP place to sleep, but close to Downtown Disney (if possible) just for the night Dec. 22. We have 2 16-yo boys and a 12-yo girl (5 of us). Will also need one the night we check out of Disney - the 26.
ALSO: Does anyone have any info on where we can stay down by the Keys Dec. 28/29? Recommendations? Towns/hotels/motels south of Miami (but safe!)
Any ideas, recommendations, suggestions for going to Cape Kennedy?

I always like Priceline bidding on 3* in the WDW area. There are some that aren't DTD, but they are nice hotels.

Depends on what part of the Keys you are going to, because there are a lot of them! I've only been to Key West, so I can help you out if you are going there.

There is a Homewood Suites probably less than a mile from DTD. I have stayed there and it was really nice. It would be a much better option other than getting 2 rooms somewhere else. As for the DTD hotels, I had a great experience at the Grosvenor in Sept. It was cheap and within easy walking distance of DTD. Some people have complained about it, but it was well worth the money when I stayed there.

Kissimmee - not that close to DD (Lake Buena Vista) - but much cheaper is probably your best bet

you could also try the new Pop Century - that is going for $55 a night - so $110 for 2 rooms. this is a very cute resort - go look for information about it on the Disney Resort boards
