Help with taking jewellery pics

Now the weather is rubbish (well it was never really good in England this year!) I am trying to think of indoor things to practice my togging on. Today I decided to have a go at jewellery and TBH I'm not very happy with my efforts. Anyone got any tips on how to improve these - apart from getting a more exciting subject!!

Lighting has a lot to do with making good jewelery shots.
