Hey fellow DISers!
I'm asking for a little help - I want to make matching t-shirts to surprise my DW for our 3-yr anniversary WDW trip coming up in September. My idea is Mickey on mine and Minnie on hers, with text along the top something along the lines of "Nathan and Sarah, Celebrating our 3rd Anniversary WDW 2008"... and it'd be really cool to have the "reverse" images of Mickey and Minnie on the backs. Even better if I can find images of the characters that are looking at each other and/or interacting. I'm accomplished enough with Photoshop to do the designing myself, but I could really use some advice on the following:
* Transfers vs. Print services
Are there any print-on-demand services that are willing to print "copyrighted" Disney material? Or any with sufficient customization on-line to do everything I want in the web tool? Are transfers "safe" to use with inkjet printers, and do I have to worry about wear&tear or rain damaging them?
* Source Material
Could anyone point me to where they get the high-res Disney character images they use in print designs? I have enough experience to know that a 600x400 pixel JPEG of mickey isn't going to cut it! Are there any repositories or galleries I could hunt through to find what I need?
* Reinventing the Wheel
Has anyone seen similar DISigns on this board that might match what I'm looking for and is in the 'public domain'?
Thanks very much!
