Taking the whole family - 8 + infant - in July for 4 nights. Ages 50, 45, 30,25,22,19,13,13, 6 months
Thinking of maybe going for one splurge - not on the DP so this would be OOP.
Thinking about a dinner show - it would be like $400 though - that's a lot for dinner and a show
Maybe La Nouba - that's very expansive too
Maybe a nice TS dinner?
I would like for everyone to have a great time but paying for 8 adults is really scaring me.

Any suggestions?

If you are open to something other than dinner maybe rent a boat for illuminations. THey often get canceled at the last minute. You get drinks and a snack. It was a beautiful ride at sunset. Last May we did this for our Aniversary with our kids and they enjoyed it. At that time it was a little over $300 with the tax. You pay for the boat not PP. Not sure how you feel about bringing an 8mo old on a boat. My son would have been fine my oldest DD not so much:laughing:

Wow, that is an awesome gesture. I would maybe do a buffet like Boma or a cheaper TS like Rose and Crown or Teppen Edo. Of course if you want to splurge I would always choose California Grill but that we would a crazy bill for 8 people.

If a meal is what you really want check out the menus at allears.net they include the prices so you could see home much is was going to cost you. You may want to consider a character breakfast or a lunch as this is often much cheaper and with breakfast you are less likely to worry about a liquer bill:laughing:. We are on the DDP but have a few TS meals over. It will cost us OOP for 3 adlt 2 kids $135 for dinner at Wispering canyon at WL but only $85 for breakfast at AK (before opening) so we will be paying OOP for our breakfast. If you would like to get to a park before opening this would get you in early too! Maybe get a nice family picture in frount of an empty Castle or in frount of the tree of life with nobody in the background~

Just had another thought. How about the wishes dessert party? It is $21pp so that would be $168 for the entire party and you would have a garrenteed spot for wishes. ($25 pp peak season) Ok I'll shut up now:rotfl:

not to jump into some else's thread :yay:... but what is the wishes dessert party?

They set aside the terrace at the noodle station for a.prepaid dessert party. You arrive about an hour before wishes than get to watch the fireworks during the party.I think you get a really view of tink too. I haven't done it but have heard it is nice.

Biergarten would be fun. You have the buffet, so there is a wide assortment of food to choose from. There is also the show for everyone to enjoy. Plus those who are old enough can enjoy some beer! An added benefit would be that you'd have your own table because of the size of your group.

For a really nice meal our family enjoys Citricos. The food is outstanding and the service is first rate. It's certainly not cheap, but definately worth it for a special meal. ::MinnieMo
