help with special ressies?

what is your favorite 'extra's' to do? The last time we went it was 2003 so I don't know what's changed since then. We did chef mickey's dinner, cindy's breakfast and the birthday cruise. What kind of special things should we plan for a Jan trip? We're celebrating our 6yo's 7th birthday. I really want to do cindy's again. On the fence about doing the birthday cruise. Even though it was the BEST thing about our trip I'm afraid of how cold it might be in jan on the water?

should we do chef mickey's for breakfast? we're staying at SOG so no dining plan for us. I'd really like to try coral reef for sure. Should we try and do the tea at the GF? is it worth it? Do they have anything fun for High school musical?

Why not send your son on the Pirates Cruise and your daughters to Alice's Tea party or send them all to the cooking party at the GF:

I've never heard of the "birthday cruise" so I can't comment on that one. I would definately suggest doing Chef Mickey's again...it gets you in such a "Disney" mood and will do something special for the birthday if you let them know when you make your ADRs (which, btw, if you want Cindy's for breakfast you should call at 7am on your 180 day mark...probably sometime in July). At Coral Reef, you can get one of the divers to hold a sign saying "happy birthday" to your child. I can't comment on the food because Coral Reef's menu is a little to adventurous for my DD.

HSM does currently have a stage show at DHS (MGM). I don't know how long it's running for so I'm not quite sure if it will still be playing in January.

If you do decide on the Coral Reef, look into personalized menus. You can email them some pictures of the birthday girl, and they'll include them on the menu!

We were very disappointed with Coral Reef....not much selection, overly expensive and generally not good food. We won't go there again and we love seafood...of course we are from New England

well that's a bummer about CR! I'll look at other things to do then. There is almost Prime Time and Bama's or O'hana's, and whispering canyon's that I'd like to do.

is it sad that when we went to chef mickey's it was just 'okay' and it was the first dinner ressie we did?
