Help with some really random questions

On the sunscreen issue, they make special sun screen for hair and scalp that works pretty well. Regular is too greasy for your head like that.

We use the hair screen a lot actually, but always at DL. We also do hats and sunglasses, but in my experience, they never last all day with the kids.

We did the same trip with DD (just turned 8) a few months ago.

For her entertainment on the flight, we brought:
  • Leapster & games (YES, bring headphones! All I heard was "Mommy, can I turn it up? I can't hear it!")
  • Color Wonder items--CW coloring book, and a plain CW coloring pad (the Color Wonder only works on the special paper--which meant she didn't color all over everything if there was a bump!)
  • Nintendo DS (mine, but she gets to use it for a special treat)
  • Camera (so she could take pictures of things she thought were cool)
  • Pencil and paper
  • Color Explosion (I think that's what it's called--the Crayola product that starts black, and you color it with a special marker, and it's colored underneath)
  • 2 new books (from her favorite series--Ramona)

It seems like I'm forgetting something on the list! It entertained her well, since she's not used to much screen time at all.

Airplane suggestion: Ask for a lid on YOUR cup too--DD did GREAT at hitting my cup! She hasn't spilled anything in ages, but on the airplane, we were all thumbs, and knocking things over with ease ;)

I did Bonine (or whatever its called) on my earlier trip this year. On my latest trip, I used Dramamine. BIG MISTAKE. I was yawning my way through Disneyland. I tried the Seabands, but fashion won out.
