Help with Shirt Design, Pls (poll)

I'm making shirts for our trip. This one will be for our Surf's Up! breakfast. I'm going for a light, sort of vintage, beachy feel. All of our shirts will be different shades of blue. I want the image to be white, but my husband says black. He thinks it looks funny, like a negative, to have Mickey's ears white and his shoes dark. I think the black looks too bold. I like white for the style I'm going for. What do you think?

For the color shirts you are going with i would do white. It looks more beachy.

Purely based on Mickey Mouse in the image...black is my vote. His ears are black, not white. Hard to make out that the white image is IMO. Looks like a reverse film negative...not that kids today would even know that that is!

I just see circles with a "-" in them. The images are not linking for some reason.

So strange! I'm using Google Photos. I don't think I've posted any photos until this week. I'll have to search if there is a thread about using Google Photos. Maybe I'll have to switch to something else? I've heard a lot of headache about Photobucket lately.

I think the black pops more on most of those colors, but the darkest blue one (lower right) looks good with the white.

Now that I can see white looks so much better.

With the exception of the darkest blue colored shirt in the photo, I think the black shows the image better.

It looks like people are pretty evenly split on this. I say black. The image is a little bit hectic and it's hard to make out what it is at first glance in white. The exception is on the dark blue shirt, where the white actually stands out pretty clearly.

I like the way the white looks purely color-wise, but I would only go that route with a much simpler design (e.g. just a mickey head) because it's harder to make out.

MUST be a Glitch in the system....

My husband is wondering if it's a copyright thing. The photos that can't be seen (for long) have Disney images. Maybe it's Google that's doing it.
Just speculating.
