I had initially planned to do the VIP tour, but now I am reconsidering it because it includes shows I don't think my daughter will want to see, and I am not sure if she will want to Manta or Kraken (she is 9). Also it has us going until 5:30 in the evening and we have reservations at Kouzzina at 7 pm. The last straw is that they will not be offering DWS and instead are offering a meal voucher, but not lowering the price (I paid $225 for the two of us).

We want to see Pets Ahoy (10:45), Believe (12:30), Clyde and Seymore (1:45) and Blue Horizons (3:00) and then probably go back to the hotel to relax.

I think she would also love feeding the dolphins and stingrays, and check out the exhibits and ride wild artic and atlantis. She may want manta or kraken. If I cancel the tour will I want to buy quick Queue?

Other pertinent info: We are going on 4/26, a Monday. We plan to get there right at 9:00 or a little earlier. We will have been at Discovery cove the day before. We might go back the next day which is our last full day in Orlando, but that will be up to my dd. We probably won't be back until 2012.

I guess my questions are:
1) How are crowds on Mondays that time of year?
2) Am I crazy to cancel the tour?
3) Will Kraken and or Mantis be too intense for a 9 yo (she is 56") - she's only been on state fair type rides before.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Julie Im going on a girls holiday too, with my dd7 (almost 8) we are at Dc on Mon 26th, otherwise it mght have been fun to meet up for a quick "hello". I looked at the VIP tour for us, but decided against it for the reasons you stated really. We have booked the 90 min behind the scenes tour for Sun 25th, as my Dd is into polar bears.

We have also booked DWS for Mon 19th, however o one has contacted me to say its been canceled? Ive emailed Seaworld, however no reply after 2 wks?
without DWS I think the VIP isnt that special, esp as youarent desperate to do the main big rides. I think even if youo wanted to , you could do the rides quite quickly first thing in the morning, anyway.

Have run, what ever you decide !:lovestruc

Wow noticed you are staying at the Beach club, that should be fun !!! We want to visit the beaches and cream,to see if the kitchen Sink is being ordered! we would love to order one, just for the experince and photo op, but with two of us........ its just tooooooooooooooooo big ! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the reply! They didn't contact me about DWS- I noticed that they weren't offering it on the website and called and asked and they told me about the substitution. :sad2: I think I am going to go ahead and cancel the tour. I am afraid that we will be too tired by day 7 of our trip to want to do a full 7 hour tour even after a relaxing day at DC!

It's nice to know other people do mother-daughter only trips. I am feeling pretty guilty about leaving my husband and younger children at home.:guilty: However, it will be really nice to do something special for my oldest who has put up really well with her twin sisters! She is a total animal nut and plans to be a veterinarian. I think she'll like SW, DC, and AK the best, although I think she'll enjoy everything.

Have you been to SW before? We've never been to Florida, much less any theme parks! I don't know what to expect with crowds and lines there on a Monday. Where are you staying? I am pretty excited about Beach Club! In my planning, I initially planned on All Star Movies, then CSR, then Beach Club when I got a 45% off PIN. Beach Club + DC is my excuse for not even thinking about a water park!

Have you checked the DC site? - they changed the prices for Sunday the 25th and Monday the 26th - it is now cheaper to do DC on the Sunday (I had them change our reservation and saved $85.60 between us!). :cool1:
