In a couple of months I'm playing tour guide a large group of DH's coworkers, who will be in Orlando for a conference. On the last night of the show, they're doing a big staff event that I'm planning for them.

There will be a group of about 30 that I have set up to eat dinner at O'hana at 8:30. For about two hours prior to that, I'm setting them up on a scavenger hunt around the monorail loop, ending up at the Poly for the dinner. We'll break them up into 5 or 6 teams and give them about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to gather all the information on the hunt sheet.

I've got some good ideas already, like having them get the name of the boat at the dock at TTC (obviously any name of any boat would be an acceptible answer), name what resort is home to the famous five-legged-goat (and for bonus points, who is responsible for putting it there), describe*the view (specifically) from the window behind the altar at the wedding pavilion, what does the monorail announcer say in Spanish just before the doors close and what does it mean in English, etc.

Now these folks are somewhat novices to WDW. Several have been before, but by no means is anyone the kind of expert who would probably know any of the answers to the questions I've mentioned off the top of their heads - but they'd probably know how to find them.

So, help me out here, fellow experts! Using the questions above as a guideline for style and difficulty, help me come up with some more clues and things to have them go after. They won't have park passes, but will have access to the entire monorail loop and Disney transportation. I want to fill up the time but not make it so hard that everyone is late to dinner finishing up. Thanks!!

Name the largest boat in the Grand Floridian Marina?
Name the water sports shop at the Contemporary?
Can you walk from the Contemporary resort to the gates of the Magic Kingdom?

There are lots of trivia questions on disney available but if it is also a scavenger hunt you will need them to pick some things up along the way? Will people have access to a digital camera either on a cell phone or just a camera? Have them take pictures in front of cetain places or make them get something small at gift shop? (don't make them buy batteries) but something like a postcard or make them buy gum that they can't buy. Then when a group shows up with gum you will know they cheated and already had the gum to begin with :rotfl2:

I'm sure we could arrange for every group to have a camera or camera phone, and I have thought about mixing it up with some photo hunts.

I LOVE the gum idea! LOL! What a great ringer question to stick in there!
Thanks for the suggestions... anyone else?

A list of items you can look for, as digested from a number of postings on this forum:

(Not including many Hidden Mickeys -- likenesses, some vague, of Mickey Mouse camouflaged into architecture or decorations, about which books are published and sold at WDW and elsewhere.)

You might want to get a copy of the WDW Scavenger Hunt. It is a little card and costs about $5. It has a lot of neat things to look for.

I have one that a DISer sent to me last year. If you PM me with your email address, I will send it as an attachment.

I actually have a copy of it from the Disney rep who is handling the conference itself. Unfortunately, if it's the same thing, all the items are located within a park. This group won't have park passes for that night, so I have to keep them at resorts and other locations on the monorail loop.

That said, I did PM just in case this is something different. Thanks!

Look at the list of penny press machines located in the hotels on the monorail loop and have them get a certain one from each hotel.
