Help with room request at Parterre Place?

I decided for my trip at the end of April to try Parterre Place. Room for two adults. I have stayed in the AB section and really enjoyed it, but I thought for a change I would give the Mansion section I try. I have not been to any of the Mansions and I requested Parterre, ground floor, courtyard view not knowing anything about it.

I'm wishing now, that I had taken a walk around the Mansion side when I was there last and checked them out. But as usual when at the World there is just not enough hours in the day.

So any suggestions or tips about Parterre would be welcome. I plan to check in pretty early in the AM so I am hoping if I make a room request I just might get it. I chose the Parterre Place mansion because on the map it looks like it's closest to the main building and bus depot. I know I don't want to be on the parking lot side but other than that I know nothing. My friend will be joining me later in the day and she always leaves this up to me. She never cares where she stays as long at she's on Disney property.

We stayed in the river view, ground floor, rooms 19579-19582. I would NOT recommend those rooms--see my comments on lack of cleanliness. FYI, Parterre Place is not that close to the bus stop (we took the main stop near Fulton's) and it's a bit of a walk (although very scenic and pretty) to everything else as well. Overall--this was an inconsistent experience for us. If I were you, I'd stick with the AB section. Another poster said that she had AB 15 and loved it--nicely updated and that is definitely close to the stop. Good luck!

We have always stayed at AB in the past. On our last trip we were assigned to the mansions. At first we were dissapointed, but ended up loving it! We stayed on the 3rd floor corner room at Parterre Place with a parking lot view. The room had just been renovated and everything was clean and new. We felt that the walk to the foodcourt and busstop was very pleasant and took no longer than when we stayed at AB. The quiet pool was very nice.
It was a nice change from AB. We are staying at POR again for 3 nights next month and we want to be suprised as to where we will be staying (AB or Mansions.) Have a great time!
