Help with Ressie Confirmation

I rented points from a DVC member who made the reservations in my name. He gave me the confirmation number, but when I called the DVC customer service and the resort directly, they would not confirm the ressie for me. I want to get confirmation that the ressie exists before I mail my money to the member. Can anyone who has rented points before tell me of a work around to confirm the ressie???
 
There is no work around. DVC member services will no longer speak with non-members. The resort will not have your reservation on file until about 4 days prior to your arrival.

In truth, rentals are based on trust and faith. The confirmation number (and a copy of the printed confirmation) is the best you can do. And, even if you could call Member Services to confirm there is nothing to stop thye owner you've rented from from calling 5 minutes later and cancelling the ressie. The ressie is always under the control of the DVC members, unless you book through Disney directly, like any other resort, at substantially higher rates. You assume some risks when renting a ressie from a member.
