I have a 7 and 9 yr old, both boy and girl and want to stay in a moderate resort this time. We stayed at Movies last time and want a little nicer resort and want to us one of the discounts that will probably be offered the end of January. The princess rooms at POR and the Pirate rooms at Carribean wouldn't work because the kids wouldn't agree. What is a kid friendly resort and what building do you recommend that is close to the front/bus stops. Thanks for any help.

all the moderates are kid friendly - that say they are spread out much more than the value resorts. you will be walking. the smallest is POFQ - but think your kids might be too old to enjoy the pool - that say you do get the right to share the pools and other stuff with POR - so it might work. no restaurant at POFQ there is one at POR. both have food courts (counter service) (quick service) - disney has changed the name a lot.

CSR in preferred (Casitas) or Cabanas section. The Dig Site has a great pool and playground! The Casitas section is close to El Centro and the first pick up bus stop. The Cabanas section is half way between El Centro and the main pool.

Carribean Beach would be my vote. Some rooms have Murphy beds so kids could have separate beds (it's a request though so no guarantee). The pool is great for kids that age. The other one to consider is a cabin in the campground, lots for kids to do there. Also lots of space in cabin.

Our kids liked POFQ. The pool wasn't as exciting as other resorts but we walked over to POR a few times. What they liked about POFQ was the small size. We could comfortably let them run around the property and feel secure about it. We were in building 5 right by the pool and at most 200 yds from the bus stop. Our room overlooked a courtyard and they would walk down there to play or walk over to the arcade.

CBR has an awesome pool that both your kids will love. It's our favorite Moderate.

CBR just finished refurbishing all guest rooms (except pirate themed rooms). I would suggest CBR preferred room for newly refurbished rooms and super close to main pool and food court/main building. My second vote would be CSR Business Class (building 9B), only because you state you want to be as close as possible to stuff, and CSR has food court and pool located in separate locations, so at CSR no one can be right by both food court and main pool. But Business Class guarantees a room in building 9B which is right in-between main pool and food court, and you get breakfast in your building lounge in 9B.

Thanks, I am still not sure which resort we will choose, we are waiting until oct. To see what discounts they offer. If they offer the 30% off for the stay, play, and dine or a discount on rooms that will he a lot for our disission.

What about a FW cabin? We are going to try a split stay there next year (AoA will be the other) and my 9 yr old found the cabins on YouTube & cannot wait! Looks like a lot if fun things to do, campfires, renting golf carts, activities, water slide at the pool....and you're right there if you want to do hoop dee do or mickeys backyard bbq. I never really looked twice at the cabins until it was suggested to me, I'm not really a wilderness or camping or outdoorsy person....but these are more like glamping. Lol I can handle glamping!

My kids loved POR. We were in the alligator bayou section. My DD was 12 and my DS was 5 at the time. The room had a Murphy bed with the alligator from The Princess and the Frog which appealed to my son. My DD liked that it was related to Princess Tiana. My DH and I loved that it had rustic theming. Both kids loved the pool and the food court was good.
