 I asked a few weeks back about discounts for rooms from December 29-31st. I was told the Swan offered discounts last year. We are a family of five and did stay at the Swan with a roll-away once. For three days it was workable. For the New Years Eve, the rates are rack. Am I better off booking two rooms at Pop and locking in the dates at the lowest published rate, $114 x2 per nite, or reserving the Swan at $279 plus $10 resort fee, plus $25 roll away fee plus $7 parking fee and hope they will discount again this year? We have annual passes. I would prefer the proximity of the Swan on New Years Eve. :scratchin Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

My advise is go with the convenience of being near the park you plan on being in on NYE. If it's going to be EPCOT or MGM, then I'd say go with the Swan/Dolphin. Because of the crowds, at least you can walk back to your room if it gets too crazy. However, if you plan on going back to your room before midnight and ringing in the NY there, go for the two rooms at Pop (2 bathroom would be nice). We were at the CR for NYE last year and the fireworks at midnight were amazing! But I have to say, we watched them from our balcony because the MK was shoulder-to-shoulder. We moved to BWI on Jan 1st and were told the boardwalk was fun and exciting on NYE and that you could see and hear the EPCOT and MGM fireworks. Good luck in your decision and here's wishing lots-o-pixie-dust for discounts if you go with the Swan/Dolphin. :wizard:
