I am planning for our June 2008 WDW trip. It will be DH and mine fourth trip to the world, along with DD (20). You would think I would have this figured out by now:) This trip will now include 12 of us, 4 generations. DH, me, DN(9), DD(20), DDBF, DSGD(2), DD(24), DSGD(9), DSGD(5), DGD(5), My mom(70?), and Dad(70?).

The DVC villas are nice to have especially with young kids.

Studios have kitchenettes and the one and two bedrooms come with a full kitchen and washer & dryers.

I like Old Key West, its quite there and the villas are very roomy. Quite pools are a great place to meet up with your group. Or even the cabins at FW.

We always got a place with a kitchen when our kids were you - imho going out to eat with very young kids gets old REALLY fast

I would suggest the BWV or BCV. They are right in the middle of everything and you will have plenty of room for everyone. We found the extra room, kitchen, and washer and dryer to be a big plus.

I think those will be a little out of our price range. Even though I would love to stay at either one, just not this trip!!!!! Let me give a little more back ground info(tried to edit original post, but haven't figured out how). This will be my mom and Dad's first trip to the world, and even though we are taking all of their "great-grandkids" , this trip is really for mom and dad. Mom is a one year cancer survivor(2006), and dad survived a stroke in 2006(yes it was a tough year). They will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary in January 2008, and this will be their present. My DH and I will be footing the bill, thus a few budget issues. I am looking for a resort that is a little more compact. We have stayed at All-Stars(1st trip), off-site(not feasible this time), and POR. I had originally booked us at CBR, but after a little more research, I found out that it is just as big as POR. We will be renting an ECV for mom and dad to share. They are both mobile, but they still tire easily. I am leaning toward WL, or AKL. Can anyone tell me if the rooms are big enough to park the ECV, and still have room to move, and also how easy would it be to turn two "clueless" older adults loose if they choose to get back to the room by themselves? I am worried about them getting on the wrong bus, to a resort!!!!!

Take a look at Sarasota Springs Resort. They have two story units for 12 and your parents could stay on the first floor. The pool is also zero entry which might also be helpful for them.

Thanks!!! I wasn't aware that there was a place on site that could possibly accomodate us all. I will look into it.

AKL is a wonderful resort but you would have to book a few rooms or see if they are letting the villas be rented. My cousin stayed in the All Star suites and said they were fantastic with all the kids (5 boys) so that may be an alternative for your family. OKW may have a villa that holds 12 also. They really do offer alot of conveinence if the price is comparable to multiple rooms. Let us know what you choose to do. We have 12 and opted for 2 mini suites or deluxe rooms at WL which come with the perk of CL access. The cost was the same as a 1 bdr villa that only would hold 4 so it might be cheaper to go that route for you too.
