Will be at POR 07/16 - 07/23. Requesting the Magnolia Bend section. Thinking about Magnolia Terrace or either Parterre Place. Pros of Magnolia Terrace are that it is closer to the main pool but at the last bust stop while Parterre Place is close enough that you can walk to the main stop. I've seen threads here that it is about 4-5 minutes to main building from Parterre Place and 7-8 minutes from Magnolia Terrace. I have 2 children ages 11 and 9. I'm torn between being able to get on the bus at the first stop in AM if staying at Parterre Place versus being able to get off the bus in PM right by building Magnolia Terrace? Any suggestions? Some of the horror stories I've seen about the bus service have me nervous.

Just got back from several nights at POR. We've stayed in both sections of POR. We really like Magnolia Terrace. It was pretty centrally located. There is a bus stop right across the parking lot from it. But, I don't think we ever used that one. We usually just walked over to the main bldg and used the big bus stop. Despite what I have seen here regarding the bus service at POR, I have not had any issue with it. We didn't wait very long for any bus over the week-end. But, we also didn't travel at peak park times either. I really don't think that the buses at POR are any better or worse than other resorts. If I had to pick a resort with the best bus service I've had, it would be the AllStars!!

I think it was about a 5 minute walk to the main stop by the food court from Magnolia Terrace. Out the bldg, past the pool area on Ole Man Isle and over the bridge to food court.
