Help with podcast on iPod Touch!

I'm so so sorry if this is a stupid question but I just got an ipod touch the other day and thought I would be able to subscribe to the podcast and have the episodes automatically downloaded (kind of like they are on my computer through itunes). But I can't figure out a way to do it. I could download each episode individually but can't seem to "subscribe". Does anyone know if there's an easy way to get the episodes on the ipod touch without having to go into itunes, pull up the podcast, look for episodes, and then download. Thanks for your help!!

It won't work quite like what you are thinking, but there are two ways to make it simpler.

The first is to connect your iPod to your computer with iTunes, the one that already downloads the podcast. Once you have the iPod connected, click on it in the left sidebar, click the podcast tab, and tell it you want to sync the podcast with your iPod. Every time you plug your iPod in and there is a podcast already downloaded, it will add it to your iPod.

The other way is to go on your iPod to where the podcast episodes that you already have are and scroll to the bottom of the episodes you have. There will be a "get more episodes" button that takes you directly to the podcast in the iTunes store. You still have to download them yourself, but it saves time finding the podcast in iTunes app.

I was wondering the same thing I loved just turning my old iPod on and it being there like you I just got the iPod touch and thought there had to be a better way.

I use an app called "stitcher" on my IPhone. All you do is refresh & the next episode is there. Takes 2 seconds.
