We are trying to decide which restaurant we want to eat dinner at in DTD (DH, me, DD 11 and DS 10). We want to try a place we have not eaten at before so that leaves out Bongos, House of Blues, Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Cafe. We are leaning toward Fulton's Crab House. Let me know what you would pick and why. Thanks!

I would pick Wolfgang Puck Cafe or Portabello's rather Fulton's if it was my choice. WPC has great food and an extensive, varied menu but it is very busy. Portabello's has very good Italian food and is a much quieter spot.

I have a beef with Wolfgang Puck. They were a bunch of snobs.

Here's the deal. We were 20 minutes late for our PS. I was very apologetic. Anyway, in this snobby voice the hostess said, "well, you'll have to wait until we have a table for you." So we did. We waited. After about a half hour I told my hubby that we should just go because I didn't want to push it since we had Cirque du Soliel tickets. We walked up to the hostess and said, "Thank you but we're going to go because we have tickets to CdS." She said, "Oh, well we were just about to seat you." and they gave us a table.

Here's the thing. We were in the upstairs part that is very small and NO ONE HAD LEFT. She wasn't waiting for a table to clear, she was just making us wait. Right away we thought, "it's quite obvious this is not actually a disney restrurant."

To top it all off we thought the food was OK. The only cool thing was that they have a dessert sampler (great for those of us that just can't chose) and they wrote "Happy Honeymoon" in chocolate on the plate.

This is what I would do. I would eat at Boatwright's at Port Orleans Riverside and then take the boatride (which is very cool and relaxing) to Downtown Disney.

My vote would be for Fultons - The food is wonderful.

jordgubben no excuse for the hostess but if you ever give Wolfgang Puck's another try I would eat downstairs in the cafe. You had a PS for the dining room upstairs which we've only tried once. We were not impressed at all. Food was OK but not worth the prices and service was not good.

The cafe downstairs is very different. We've always had good service and great food. A very extensive menu too. It is a much better value IMHO too. It is very busy and rather loud though. The last I knew you still could not make PSs for the cafe.

Wolfgang Puck's was quite good!!! I have also heard great things about Portobella but we have yet to try it.... hopefully this trip we will.

Thank you for all your opinions. I think we're going to stick with Fulton's. But now I am excited to try these other restaurants and since I live right here, that's not a difficult thing to do. Thank you everyone.
