Help with Photopass Share

I am trying to understand photopass share, I have read a few different photopass groups. I am confused.


So here is my understanding.

We form a group
send all of our info to leader
set up payment

So here is my question, if we have a group going in May

The first person is in Disney on May 2nd
and people in between
The last person in Disney last day is May 25th

When do we upload pics to the photoshare.

How long do you have before we have to submit them.

Is it 30 days from May 2nd or 30 days from the day of the first upload

any help would be great

It's both. There are 2 time windows you need to note.

1 - 30 days from the date the FIRST photo is TAKEN
This is how long the pictures remain on the card.

2 - 30 days from the date the FIRST photopass card is put into the system.
This is how long you have to edit, add, order photos before they are deleted from the system.

You can often get an extension on the 2nd 30 days, but not always so I woud not count on it.

So...
The first person in your group is going to Disney on May 2nd. Those photopass card numbers must be entered into the system by June 2nd. However, if they input it into the system soon, the SECOND 30 day window starts - having an effect on the last person in your group. (For example: If the first person enters the codes on May 5th, the photos will expire on June 5th, giving the May 25th person only until June 5th to enter, edit and be done with his/her pictures (not a lot of time).

The entire key is for the May 2nd person to wait as long as they can to input their codes, giving the May 25th person the most time possible.

Yep, Disney Dreams is 100% right. You can get up to 60 days with your PP pix if you do it right but it all hinges on when the first PP# is entered. I'm doing a share (acutally 2) in May/June and originally I was going to have my participants send me their PP # for me to upload to make sure we had plenty of time for all to enter, and edit, their PP pix. Turns out I got so many requests that I split the group in 2 and they should be fine entering their own #'s. I acutally went on March 27th and will be able to add that PP card to the first group. I'll enter it 26th which will start the next 30 day window. My first group will have until May 26th to do their edits.

Make sure your group pays attention to the 30 days marks. Remember it's 30 days, not a month. That's why my March 27th PP will have to be uploaded by April 26th, (30 days has Sept, April...)

Also as DD mentioned, some times you get more days to order but don't count on it. Once your PP are uploaded there will be an expiration date listed. When that time comes, the PP pix will start to disappear. Not all the pix will go, just the ones that are expired.

I did a PP Share in Jan/Feb and as my pix that are still in my account keep being scheduled to expire I continue to get messages from Disney that I have pix expiring. I just checked and some of the ones I have from Dec/Jan are still there with an expiration date of April 12th. I ordered my CD back at the beginning of Feb. and 325 of the pix are still in my account. I think originally I had around 700 so only half have fallen off. But again, don't depend on the pix staying longer than they say.
