We will be enjoying WDW and UO end of January. We will have monday 25th-saturday 30th for enjoying parks. We are thinking 3 disney days, mk,ak and Epcot. Then 2 days at UO. And a free day in between. I know saturdays are the busiest days and wondering which park we should plan for on Saturday? Any thoughts or advice?

Would you think AK would be less busy than the UO/IOA parks ?
Universal has been insane on the weekends, so I would avoid it at all costs. We were there two Saturdays ago and both Universal parks reached capacity and were no longer allowing people inside.

Personally, I would choose Epcot for a Saturday. We did it last Sunday and even though it was a weekend and park hours were extended, it was still the least busy of the four Disney parks we visited during the week. With World Showcase having a lot closed, it was nice to walk through without being shoulder to shoulder with people. I think Epcot might also have one or two more rides than AK, which spreads people out a little more allowing for shorter waits at times.

I don't think AK is a bad choice, but if riding FOP with a shorter wait is important, you'll want to get there before they open to line up. We didn't find arriving at opening to be quite as important at Epcot.

Thanks for the input. we will have 4 adults, 2 middle school aged kids and a 2 yr old. We LOVE FOP and would love shorter wait, but know we can wait until later in the day maybe ? , but are also very excited for festival of the arts. I guess pro's for EPCOT on Saturday would be the possibility of more food booths open ( as I've read for F&W), but also want to have shorter waits for rides. We love TT, Soarin, and I haven't been on frozen, but the others in our group enjoy it and I'm sure the 2 yr old would like it. I have a few weeks to nail down our plans, to coordinate with dining plans :)

The parks have been opening about an hour early than posted. We found it's the best time to get on your favorite ride.. we rode FOP with a 25 min wait.. others have the same experience because a lot of peeps are unaware of the real opening time.
