I picked up the last two #4 USPS priority boxes today at the p.o. today for sending out my soldiers/doggie goodies.

They do not carry the #7 and when I asked if they could order some to have on hand, they told ME to order them online.

Help, I can't find any #7's or even #4's on the USPS website. Can someone give me a direct link?

How long does it take to receive boxes ordered online?

Thanks,

herc.

They usually come within the week when I've ordered them.

Thanks everyone,

I ordered the 25 #7's.

The gal at the P.O. asked me to bring them any extra boxes I don't use. What? I don't understand why they can't order boxes to stock quicker than I can order them.

I wouldn't bring her your extras! Why should you go through the work of ordering for them?

Just as a way of explanation. I think I know why the postal employee asked you for your extra boxes. I am a postmaster, and I can NOT order the boxes that you can for my office. I have not been able to get anyone to explain why this is, but it is true. In order to keep all sizes of Priority boxes in my office, I have to order them for myself, have them shipped to my home address and then take them to work.

I can order the shirt box size, but neither of the square ones, which is what everyone wants. So, while I agree that it makes NO sense what-so-ever, don't blame your local post office employee. Some people are glad to get rid of the excess boxes since you have to order so many.

This is very frustrating to me, and apparently, others as well.

Hi Sal,

Thanks for the info. I'm in SE Minn What part of Iowa you from?

Thanks for that link. I got the last two shirt box type boxes last week.

It is nice to have the #7 boxes delivered to my house for FREE!

Gotta love that!

Have a couple boxes to go overseas!

P.S. We can use these for our APO addresses can't we?

I hope so. And then we need the "Customs Declarations and Dispatch Note", Form 2976-A on it. Did you read the restrictions for the ZIP Code you're assigned? Guess I'll be going through that before I buy anything. Shaving cream is on the Operation Military Pride list of suggested items. But the restrictions say don't send it.

yes you can use priority boxes to send to apo addresses. Lisa if you need shirt boxes I prob have a ton here if you'd like some. I know I had like 75 of the large cube boxes once upon a moon.

I'm also a postal employee (window clerk) and my station can only get two sizes of boxes as well. I think they decide which stations get which size based on revenue. And, ours is kind of small.:) Yes, the customer can actually get stuff we can't by calling the 1-800 number. I have one customer who gets me some of the small priority envelopes that way.:)

And, yes we do love to take your leftovers if you have them.:)
Sometimes we're as desperate as you the customer!

Thanks...but I just sent for some #7 boxes. If you need any, I ordered 25.

I still have to finish getting some things to send to my military people.

i think i'm pretty well stocked myself i need to take some to delaware post office. at least they treat me as a human there unlike lil ole local ashley.

Ah yes! The Ashley post office...I wonder if any of the people that were mean to me are still there?

They were a very nasty bunch of people that stuck their nose into other peoples business.

Much better in Delaware!
